I don't see it makes much difference who starts, we will make changes in the second half anyway. Perhaps some decisions are made on ware and tear at this time of year, some players need to be given a slight rest, so come on later on in the game instead of starting.

Good to see Mac on the bench, squad looks better already albeit we'll be two down after today.

Makes it so important to get the win today. Newcastle aren't in great shape but we shouldn't take them lightly.

COMON U REDMEN!!!

They've nearly always been able to put out a decent first XI - Saudi money has made sure of that. Their problem is no quality to change it and the same players getting flogged. Their attack looks strong, but the rest can definitely be got at.

it’s not a particularly good squad though - Howe has done a good job of getting them orgnasied and working really hard but they’ve only got Trippier, Bruno and Isak who are CL quality
Man for man we’re much better

They all took the tyrant's money, so who cares?

All of them let themselves down doing it, they're as bad as the barcodes.

Speaking of which, 3-1 to us.
both brilliant players for us so plenty happy to see them back at Anfield tonight. If someone offered you a wage 2, 3 or more times higher than today would you really say no?   Most wouldn’t and can’t blame them for putting family first.  From a kopite of 30 years
Proudest ever moment was in the Ataturk stadium - i'm sure the wife will understand!

Warnock hates Darwin for some reason
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

also Fabinho was physically shot and we got £40m for him (no other teams would pay even half of that for him and it allowed us to pick up Mac, Szlob and Endo to totally rebuild our midfield.

With Bobby, he was out of contract so can sign for whoever he wants.

I have no issue with either player

Think the Saudis will sit back tonight and try hit us on the break. Just hoping we score first and open them up. We have the players to skin them on the break.
