Montero and De Vrij, with all due respect, aren't going to stop  Ronaldo, Savicevic, and Cristiano Ronaldo from scoring. While  Aldair, Mihajlovic and Chivu, anchoring the defensive 5 can cope much better against their attack.
The midfield of Davids and Vidal is a tough challenge for any team, got to be honest there, where we have enough to compete with, and you need the other departments to win their battles.

Nicholas’ defence is good. Candreva 2nd highest assists is serie A history, Hamsik 3rd highest (Also has 100 goals) Immobile a penalty box striker part of a small group of 8 to score over 200  serie A goals and The Devine pony tail. That defence as good as it is will have its work cut out.

First match up is easier - somehow Nicholls made his team worse changing his setup in midfield. I think Pizzaro and Simeone as a double pivot, Shevchenko as a lone striker with Boban behind him and Fiore and Chiesa cutting in from the wings makes much more sense.
Second one is tougher but I think surfer's team defence is better and it will make the difference in the end.

I like surfers defence and attack and his midfield is pretty solid.

The only thing I would question is where Cristiano Ronaldo would be happy aying from the left being second fiddle to Ronaldo. His ego wouldn't allow it.
