Few highlights.

Stopped the funding for the Mexican border wall
Scrapped ban on travel from a list of mainly Muslim countries
Rejoined Paris climate agreement
Stopped the exit from WHO
Rescinds Trumps 1776 commission
Directs agencies to reverse 100+ trump actions on the Environment

How great to see an American President and VP smiling rather than the Orange dictator and Corpse.

Fat T worked so hard to destroy his predecessor's legacy. Something so petty will not enter Joe Biden's head; but the thought of the Orange One raging as he finds himself on the receiving end of such a demolition job warms my heart. Especially as he wont even be able to rage tweet about it.

You just know he despises everything about Biden, because he doesn't understand him. He sees this man being emotional and compassionate; and even as T derides Biden for being soft and weak, as Fred Trump doubtless taught him, you know that, deep down, he longs for what Biden has. He craves it as surely as he covets a golden toilet, but doesn't know how to get it. Because he's incapable of growing beyond what he is. He can only do what he knows, and that will never get him anywhere near.

So glad to see the sanity being restored.

Such a change to have a non-hostile, professional, well-briefed Press Secretary giving a daily briefing. More CJ Gregg than Sean Spicer anyway.

There's something really wrong with him. He's either seriously compromised or psychologically not well. I can't even count the amount of times he's flip flopped on just about everything. No doubt he'll cozy up to Biden at some point before going on Fox News the next day and doing a complete reversal.

All but certainly true:  Camp as a row of pink tents (I love that phrase), deep deep deeeeeeeep in the closet and from a state and party where coming out would be political suicide.

Anybody know what the black flag with white silhouette of a face in white circle was flying under the Stars and Stripes while Amanda Gorman was reciting her poem?

I know T***p decked the place out in gold (surprise), and Biden probably hasn't had the chance to look at colour schemes yet. The sooner his stains are removed the better.

Of course, if Clinton had them too, then stains is an apt running theme... ;D

Its a bit mad, in the UK we have wall to wall coverage of this and other US news events but very little coverage of Ireland and France events, our neighbours. Id have a very wager on the average UK person couldnt name the Irish Taoiseach. Our discourse is very anglo-amercian, when there are various different ways of governing and ideas floating about just across the channel and all over the world. I suppose its easier because we have a shared language, we can instantly communicate and follow the US.

Like when we talk about Health care in this country, its either 'our fantastic wonderful NHS' or you want the USA model, when there different ways of implementing health care across Europe which are free at the point of use.

Cheers. That's great.

I am just so pleased for all our sensible american cousins. It really must feel like the end of a nightmare. I include moderate republicans in that as well because I suspect there are many that considered Trump the opposite of everything a president should be.

So delighted that Joe has already signed decrees overturning in a stroke of a pen the previous regimes withdrawl from the Paris Agreement and the rolling back of environmental protections. It really does show how powerful the president can be - and sometimes for good.

The NHS vs USA model comes up because there aren't really any pushes to alter our single payer scheme outside of american insurance companies trying to get into the UK market and wreck it in the same fashion as the american system.

"So happy that USA has finally rejoined the Pittsburgh Agreement. Welcome back!"

Senator Ted Cruz                  @SenTedCruz

"By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans."
