I said this at the time, but rushing back from injury to play internationals will only hurt him in the longer term (both financially and football at a high level) and will curtail his playing days.

Terrible mismanagement and sad, but I can see him retiring early

Naby out for several weeks before the season has even started is so on point.  Sadly.

This one isn’t mental for sure, he’s got an adductor injury.

Those others alluding to that would be morons. People aren't going around playing with muscle tears. If they did they'd do more damage and end up out for even longer.

That was mad. He was in the middle of rehab from a proper injury and he gets called up and actually goes and plays. He should have told Guinea he wasn't fit and continued his rehab in Liverpool. I remember the game he got that injury. 1st leg via Barcelona in the CL, their midfield couldn't get close to him and one of them, Busquets I think, ended up hacking him down.

Gutted for him to be honest because he comes across as such a nice bloke who just wants to do well but seemingly cant get that bit of luck he needs.

I hope he can put his injury problems behind him eventually, people joke but it must be tough mentally to break down time and again

Looks like the muscle injury puts him out for weeks but months. Though if he then goes to ACN....
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

I don't understand Werder Bremen though, it's not like they didn't know what they were buying. He's been injured for like 4 years now. It can't really be that much of a shock that he's injured again.

It's like buying a car that's been sitting in the junk yard for ages and then being surprised that it doesn't work very well.

Said it when he probably had over a year left on his contract with Liverpool but anyone taking him on a free was still taking a risk. We probably should have made an attempt to cash in when he was down to a year but who was going to buy him? The Saudi stuff probably happened a year too late for us in that regard even though it's worked out quite well anyway w/ Hendo/Fab.
