If only that was true. A shit load of people left early during the West Brom and Hull games from what I can remember.

but not the mass exodus effect of that game last season, there will always be fans leaving early, for every team, every game.

And that one last season, the point was, that it was when we where losing, with still enough time to get a goal, it was the idea that fans had given up on the team that upset him.

Anyway, at least it's not like the Emptihad  ;D

Yep, I was listening to a documentary with him and he said 10,000 left when Dortmund played Malaga and were 2-1 down in the CL. In an ideal world nobody would leave, but the reality is some will always go

“With the crowd it is the same as the team - we always have to perform,” Klopp said.

“At home to West Brom it was brilliant. The biggest difference was that even when we conceded a goal the people were not saying ‘oh my God’.

“Of course the thinking has changed. Since we played Dortmund people know they should not leave the stadium before the final whistle.

“It’s not about what I want, it’s more about what makes sense. The people and the players have created a different atmosphere. You can always sit back and say: 'That’s wrong, that’s wrong, that’s wrong.'

“When you are a guest in the stadium, you can buy the ticket, watch the game and do what you want, but to really help you have to perform, even as a crowd.

“It can make a big difference in a positive way. The performances this season from the crowd and the team have been better.

“If you ask me I’d like the best atmosphere ever against Watford. Why? Because we’re there and there’s nothing better to do, let’s try it. It would be fantastic and help a lot.

“We play a kind of emotional football and that’s how football should be. It’s only one-and-a-half hours a week and it’s easier to enjoy.

“Even when we don’t score, we shoot in the right direction I would say. We always go in this direction, even when we don’t defend perfectly, we do it with a lot of passion and all that stuff.

“There are a lot more important things than football in this world, but in this one-and-a-half hours there’s not so let’s do our best in those 90 minutes.”

In the 80's, it didn't matter what the West Indies were bowled out for, their bowlers would just think 'we'll just bowl them out for less.

We have the same vibe at the moment, doesn't matter if we concede, we'll just score more at the other end.

That's the beauty of playing the way we do, and it will infect the crowd.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!

Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him

I cheered Middlesbrough's equaliser yesterday as if it were a goal of our own. With that and the opportunity for both Arsenal and Spurs to drop points, just win. I don't care how.

I've been doing the same for a few weeks now. Following every other game and keeping up with what our rivals are doing to see how we were doing compared to them, and keeping tabs on Man Utd for the comedy. And just like you, I just want us to win. Chelsea will take all the plaudits. Hazard is suddenly looking like the player that was linked to Real Madrid and that's brilliant, because it'll keep us off the spotlight. Hopefully, we keep winning the games with quiet and ruthless efficiency.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Just a quick one...as you were saying people were right to be writing the season off after the Burnley result - our first loss of the season - is it season over again if we lose this one?

I did overreact after that defeat. And yes it was stupid of me, does make things better for you?

These are the sought of games we usually fuck up . Lets see how far this team has come up. Our players were mouthing off in the media how good we are and coutinho is the best in the league.

All this might be true but lets talk after we won something.

Klopp would have all our players up for it.

http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/242023-jordan-henderson-why-we-re-blocking-out-the-noise?

Jordan Henderson insists Liverpool are paying no mind to the positive press they have been receiving in recent weeks, blocking out 'the noise' by focusing firmly on only the job in hand.

The captain has used his official matchday programme notes to explain the importance of not becoming complacent on the back of the Reds' excellent run of form.

Henderson writes in 'This is Anfield': “The other overriding attitude from inside the squad is that we have to keep taking one game at a time.

“I'd be lying if I said players aren't aware of stuff that's said and written and we all know there's positivity around the club at the moment. But being 'aware' and being sucked in and affected by it are two different things. Part of our job is to block out what you might describe as 'noise' and focus on the next training session and then the next game.

“That's what the gaffer and the coaching staff are drilling into us. We have only one aim each week: try to win the next game. Beyond that it's for other people to discuss and debate.

“We were in Sunday morning after Palace and as soon as the debrief was finished the only team being mentioned, other than ourselves, was Watford and how difficult an opponent they are going to be.

“I apologise in advance if that means you might end up hearing and reading the same sort of answers when the lads do interviews. But I can promise you when the lads say it, it's true: we can't afford to lose our focus. It's of 'only the next game that matters' and what can we do to get three points in that game?”

So, if we can scramble together a win of any kind we can;
A: knock Chelsea off their perch.
B: enjoy two weeks of every team in the league having to look up at us

Just been on the Watford website can not believe some of the rubbish on it, one poster call's us a smaller club than Blackburn ! Another compares us to Leicester.

The majority of those posts are fuelled by jealousy.  Also funny how fans of clubs of their stature think they can mock us for not winning the league in 26 years.

Hopefully Spurs win the North London derby. They're not genuine challengers. They finished 3rd in a 2 horse title race against Leicester last year.
Spurs win, Swansea win, and Liverpool win, and I'll be rather happy with the weekend.
To choose dogma and faith over doubt and experience is to throw out the ripening vintage and to reach greedily for the kool-aid.
