What an introduction and so nice to have a player off the bench who slots in seamlessly into any of our front 3 positions.
You cannot call overseas Liverpool supporters glory hunters. We’ve won one trophy this decade. If they’re glory hunters, they’re really bad ones. They’re actually journey hunters. It’s the journey and the story. Something about Liverpool has grabbed them." - Neil Atkinson (May, 2019)

Fluffed his first real chance, Salah stole his 2nd but he took his third well...........his goal takes us above the bitters on goals scored.
He had 2 chances before Salah stole it.

Pleased for the lad, always takes a bit of pressure off an attacker getting their first goal. Hopefully see him get a full 90 mins on Thursday.

Superb skill to take it on the volley and thread it through the defenders like that. Great way to open your account. This boy is the real deal.

Looks like he's going to do some serious damage coming on for mane against knackered defences. Brilliant.

Imagine bringing Mane on for Diogo with 20m to go.

Very nice little cameo, and well taken goal. He fits in pretty well already and will only get better with Mo, Mane and Bobby around him. Really happy for the guy, nothing like a goal to get your career up and running.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

I like Origi but when he comes on to replace any of the front three there's an immediate drop off in quality. To have Jota and Minamino as replacements is such a benefit.

Looked good, looked very very good. I literally knew nothing of the player beforehand, never seen him play so had no opinion but tonights evidence shows a guy with a hell of a lot to offer.

As great as the front three are, there's always a nagging feeling that we need to have backup for the future. Jota looks like he could slot in with one of them absent.

Can't wait to see more of him!

Both our new lads Jota and Thiago have slotted in really well. That is down to excellent pre signing work by the entire staff. Particularly When you think how long it took Keita to slot in.

Not that anyone should claim a big successful signing after 20 odd minutes....but this looks another out of the blue signing that just looks like it fits so well.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Exactly what Arsenal didn’t need was him coming on. He’s so busy without the ball and won it back a couple of times. Should have scored before he actually did but can see he takes up good positions too. Will get a lot of chances in this team.

Now I love Origi, but just compare how involved Jota was tonight after coming on against how involved Origi is when he is brought on in similar circumstances. All that involved was a will to run and good positioning.

Nothing against Divock, his style is just not quite right for what we have become.
