Had an interesting chat at the bank, my bank cards are blocked in Bulgaria (among many other countries) as a standerd security precation, I've been able to unblock my MaestroCard for my visit just in case I need extra cash.
I never knew that was the case for certain Countries - even the US!! - I could have got well and truely fucked there last year if I had ran out of cash.
Is it the same with UK banks?

Just a note on European games:

"Tickets are non-transferrable and must not be passed on to anyone else. Random security checks may be carried out on the turnstiles to check your tickets. All tickets purchased are ultimately the responsibility of the supporter who purchased it.If the ticket has been purchased by a different person, the holder of the ticket and the purchaser may be subject to further investigation by the club that could ultimately result in the club pursuing a ban for each person involved from purchasing tickets for future LFC games. Each case will be viewed on its individual merits."

There will therefore not be ticket exchanges posted for Euro away games.

There are a few trusted bank branches (UBB & DSK) as well as the ICE (International Currency Exchange) local branch located at the airport where you can easily convert your money into the local currency

There is not much of a difference in view. There are about 40 rows and between 20 and 35 is the best I believe.

By bus it takes 1h30 min. from central bus station in Plovdiv. It costs 6 pounds one way (14 leva). They leave on every hour. The taxi from airport to central Plovdiv will probably cost up to 10 pounds. Train is much slower than bus, cheaper, and only 2-3 per day, but also an option.

This exchange bureau is in the city centre and the rate is 2.445. It's 6 minutes walk from JJ Murphy's as well and 10 minutes to the stadium.

Be careful when taking taxis in Sofia, especially when in the terminal. If taxi drivers offer you a car it will be probably a rip off.

You need to look for the dedicated taxi stand, where there will be lot of taxis in a queue.
Terminal 1 (the old one - Easy Jet and Wizzair). Once you go out of the building, you will see the stand.
Terminal 2 (BA, Lufthansa). You need to walk to the right, once you are in the waiting area and when you exit you should see the big queue yellow taxis.

It's about 10-15 leva to get to the centre depending on the how heavy the traffic is, etc. There is a bus, number 84 from terminal 1 and 284 from terminal 2. It takes 30 minutes to the centre by bus and ticket is 1 lev.

If you take a taxi to your hotel and you want to exchange cash (as I doubt you will find exchange rate close enough to 2.44 at the airport), you can ask him to stop at "The Mall", exchange cash in Tavex there (it's on level -2) and continue. It's on your way to the centre anyways and you won't lose much time.
