Why is Mitchell Marsh in the Aussie test team? He's crap with bat and ball.

He's always been underrated with the ball and overrated with the bat. His first class record reflects that. When really everyone wants him to be a batting all-rounder. I think he's a good bowler who should be used more like a genuine bowler with longer spells. Bowls a good heavy bowl. His batting isn't good enough though. Needs to go.

Smith doing his best to lose this test in this session. India have batted excellently but Smith has been just about as bad as you can be as a captain. Over bowling the pacers to bad fields. Too defensive when Lyon is on. Shocking.

Everything good about him comes from natural talent. His batting technique is all eye. And I've always thought his fielding technique was suspect but he takes some all-timers because his reflexes are too good.

A good captain I guess considering how he bats as captain but tactically probably the worst since the 80's.

Who's batting? Even on a spin friendly wickets you'd think they need at least 100 more?

Ah, 6 wickets in hand, I read it as 6 down. They'd be hoping for a lead of 200+ then I reckon.

Half way to that now.

103 the lead. Australia would love a wicket this evening.

Bloody hope they get up. Had a few pennies on Australia at the beginning of their chase. Was going just fine until Warner was given out for being hit outside the line playing a shot.

Didn't expect that from the bowlers. Well done, Boys.

Now we have a series in our hands. Genuinely felt Indian team looked tired after a long season.

Great fight.

As much as I would like to say Indian bowlers won it, Australian batsmen bottled it.

When you are one nil up in a series with the home team low in energy and self belief, why would you bat irresponsibly and put the pressure back on yourselves?

Massive surprise that we turned it around. I only caught bits and pieces of it on the last day... I thought the Aussies were going to coast this. Nice to see some fight from India.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Bit of a spat going on.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/39203230

Kohli claiming Smith looking up to the dressing room for advice on whether to review or not.

Aside from banning screens from the balconies not sure how you'd legislate against this.

Also Mitchell Marsh has gone home with a shoulder injury.

It does seem a bit dodgy, especially if they were doing it a lot as accused.

On another note, I've no idea how it ended up but I saw a little of NZ vs SA before going to bed last night, SA were 22-3 off 20 after winning the toss and choosing to bat. Didn't seem like the best decision ever made!

They turned it around to end up 229/4. One of weirdest looking pitches I've seen in NZ, very brown. NZ went with two spinners which led Sth Africa to choose to bat first, cos they didn't have a clue what to do if they won the toss beforehand.

If he's doing it as accused it's bad. As it is it's a an admitted moment of stupidity thats being opportunistically jumped on. But if he's not doing it systematically then it's also very bad from Kohli.

I really have little interest in it, especially because it's regarding the DRS. It's been a good series despite the on field antics which over recent years has been disgraceful between the countries. This is just more of the pettiness that is par for the course between us.
