Amazing finish and way to go for his confidence. Being at two Anfield goals already will be really crucial for him expressing himself on the pitch. Above all, what a moment for the young lad :wave No matter what happens from now on, he'll be in the category of memorable stoppage time goals at Anfield for the rest of his career.
I was imaging the adulation he'd have got if he scored that late volley against Palace. Don't need to anymore...

Don't think I've enjoyed a goal like that since Alisson's

I wish he did that on purpose ;D

Quality this lad, would love to see him start on Saturday but worry about those clowns who'll try and break his ankles.

He must have meant it 😁 not a chance a 20 year old athlete has cramp after 25 mins.

Up there with Suarez' dive in from of Moyes and Alisson mocking Pickford.

Second consecutive goal and well deserved. He plays in a very calm manner and doesnt seem to get flustered.

We will see a lot more of him in the upcoming games especially with our injury record.

Strange how in five games this season, he seems to have had a volley or half-volley shot in each one - came close the first three times and scored the last two. The ball seems to find him when the set pieces break.

Honestly, how did he get that in? What a fucking finish that was

Really looking forward to seeing Harvey and Fabio in the starting midfield together

Klopp is 100% extending after this contract btw. Did you see that wry smile he made after mentioning Fabio's name after the 9-0? He knows just how special he is. Harvey too

Would be great to have a midfielder who can chip in with 8-10 league goals, City have got the likes of De Bruyne, Silva and Gundogan e.t.c.

he ended up playing U21 for Portugal, cos he didn’t actually have a British passport!

Anyway, hopefully he enjoyed it enough to stick with them! Way he’s going, he won’t be waiting long for a senior call up, despite Portugals pool of talent.

It felt like he was starting to influence it when he got injured, most of our attack struggled to get on the ball in the early stages.

He isn't...at all. I went to Fulham a fair bit last season as I had a long term contract around the corner and my brother in law has a season ticket there, I watched Carvalho quite a bit. He's a great player but he needs to be close to the goal, be that on the left or centrally.  He's brilliant at finding pockets of space, he isn't so good when he has half the pitch in front of him.

Have to feel somewhat bad for him, his outstanding impact from the bench has doubtless warranted a starting opportunity, yet the setup and situation into which he was thrown today gave him little opportunity to impress, a merseyside derby at Goodison Park can be a daunting prospect for any player, least of all an inexperienced young professional playing out of position.

His appearances to date for Fulham in particular have primarily come as a CAM or L/RW, meaning he naturally tends to play in the attacking midfield line when given the opportunity - this naturally casts him in the role of left half space attacker (think David Silva under Pep) when playing as the left sided eight.

To make this viable offensively without exposing the team to excess on transition it would be necessary to pair him with an inverted fullback; unfortunately that didn't occur. This led to a diminished on-ball impact, as there was no LIFB to punch balls into the left half space, and exposed the left had side of the team to a severe transitional threat. Naturally as an offensive player, his ability to defend deep in a block wasn't particularly convincing; in truth the same could be said for Xavi/Iniesta - but his impact in possession would need to be similarly superb to mitigate that tactical complication, as of yet it isn't.

I do believe that he can have a future as an eight, but only in the proper set up and with the proper experience - for now rotating with Diaz at LW and potentially Firmino at AM would make the best use of his talents.

He'll have a fantastic career with us, and will have much better opportunities to show why soon I'm sure.
