My goodness...seriously....copying songs is WEAK when you consider we started the whole singing thing. I'd be disappointed if we started copying other teams' songs. Especially this very retarded one.

We have the most famous song in the world and it's not being copied en masse for a reason. Do any of you fools even know whata "sos cagon" means? I do. Get a clue people.  ::)

Bit rude mate, have a bit more respect, this is being done with good intentions not to embarrass the club or the super-fans.

I personally see nothing wrong with it though I think there's older songs that need to be picked up on by alot of people at the game before we add another import to the repertoire, Liverbird and the full FOAR being two of them.

Good work to those who've been involved, it may or may not take off, but good effort.

Where's your suggestion LiverBirdKop?
Why do people quote other people for the sigs?  What' the point?

mmmm maybe we should make this into an Anti Manc song? But keep the Sos Cagon to keep them ignorant of the situation lol :P

So you couldn't, play us in Athens

Would've been to much, for you to handle

Before introducing another song, the first thing that needs top be done is to get 'Oh Campione' right, cos it badly needs some work. Firstly it needs another verse to keep it going, it's pretty average with just the one verse. Was sung time and time again in The Park all day before Chelsea, but it's quite clear it needs another verse BADLY, if only to give it a bit of character. Are we going to add this verse or what?!

"Shankly built a football team that shook the spion Kop!
We've conquered all of Europe and we're never gonna stop!"

Secondly it needs a bit of work in the ground. Majority of the crowd don't know the words and it's not coming across the best on tv either, apart from the 'Oh Campione' bit. Surely Athens will sort a lot of this out in the build up to the game, but another new song when we haven't even got the first one right yet? Not ideal IMO. Sos Cagon is a good song though, but please get the lyrics right from the off this time!

Oh Campione doesn't work for so many reasons, which were pointed out on it's original thread......but it was rushed out and in my opinion is dead and buried in the ground. The words don't fit the original tune and the lyrics don't all work...end of !

Im sorry but this would never work.

The chant is just not made for an English ground.

It's a nice chant no doubt, but just like that PAOK copy, it wouldn't properly take off.

Sos cagon is undoubtedly one of THE great football songs.

One day the tune will be picked up by an English team The problem is that we are not used to adapting that volume of lyric .

Totally agree and i for one will be gutted the moment someone else uses it , its a great Song and its Perfect for us if as you say we could adapt the volume and with the lyrics being produced here we could have a long term stayer with this tune am sure

I love Sos Cagon

very very catchy!

I explain the meaning of "Sos Cagón?

Cagón is a coward who poo himself during a big game and don't play well.

Sos cagón=you poo yourself.

But also the rival could be called "Cagón" o "cagones" (plural).

But i don't know if a song starting with "You poo yourself''' or "you poo yourselves" would make any sense in english language.

I hope not to offend anyone with this explanation.

I wonder if there is any poet in this forum...

He is a coward...he poo himself during important games.

Sos cagón=you poo yourself.

Sorry it's not about River Plates lyrics as we wouldn't use them hence the lyrics posted here , it's about the tune and also the bounce that am sure we could do just as well if not better

None taken mate! :)

I've always liked this song!

The way I understand sos cagón, is that you shouldn't take the word cagón too literally in English (although I'm not from Argentina, I live in Spain, so there could some differences between the meanings, e.g. "coger el autobús", which here in Spain would mean "take the bus", whereas in Argentina it would be "f*ck the bus" haha). Literally it does mean what you say, but as it is slang as well, in this case I'd say it's like "you're a piece of sh*t" in English, or sth like that.

Quite funny how you can see the Italian origins in the song with the first line "Ay che bostero..." ("che" is in Italian, the same in Spanish would be written "que").

Hehe, wouldn't make much sense singing about Boca Juniors (first part of the song) nor River Plate (second part) here now would it? :)

However as the first post was written in 2007, I can't recall hearing any version of "Sos cagón" still? Perhaps it was sung then but not used since?

Would be cracking if we got versions of "Sos cagón" and "Horto Magiko" going!

I've been peering through the looking glass on this forum for circa a year now, but i finally cracked and signed up due to the re-emergence of this thread. Sos  cagon, along with ynwa is my favourite footy song bar none, and i've had the privilege of being at a River libertadores game when this has been belted out full tilt, with a flag nearly the size of the kop being laid over the supporters in the stands. Best part about it was that my mates were sat in the tourist stand beside the away support at the other end of the stadium, while i, due to a late arrival, had to go lookin for a ticket. I somehow managed to get commandeered by two local "Radicals" who took me under the wing; and straight into the lions den where it was goin off the Richter scale! My mates said after that it looked like pandemonium (which it was) and where absolutely gutted when i gave them a rundown of the Scenario i found myself in. One of the best experiences of my life!

Anyway, I would be absolutely gutted if someone else sniped this tune, especially the scum. I think the verse that begins with "from the corners of Europe" is excellen along with the chorus, but i think it would be class if we had a verse before/after which takes the piss outta the scum and blueshite, just to give it that extra tint of aggressiveness that the original has. I don't know if these chants actually take off when they're devised on these forums (maybe the suarez one did), but if any chant should, it defo should be this one.

Thats my 5 cents for the morning, back to my dissertation!!

I thought I heard it on the way from Arsenal, if this gets going it will out do the Torres song, and I know I'll piss myself laughing when the bouncing starts.

It'll be boss hearing this full belt (probably at an away game) then catch up in the Kop and get the bounce going again!

it will get ruined at 100mph and itll sound shite
