Welcome to the 11th season of the RAWK Pub Darts Prediction League. Please take a minute to read the rules below. We will use the prediction format this season again.
The matches take place on Thursday nights, as always, so the fixtures will be posted at the beginning of the week and the tables will be done shortly afterwards.
Gerry Attrick is the defending champion after a brilliant prediction campaign last year.
electricghost dudleyred, Ziltoid, Ollyfrom.tv (2), Geth7, AriGold, Anywhichwayucan, and
4pool are all previous winners of the competition.
The players taking part in this years Premier League are
Michael van Gerwen
Peter Wright
Gerwyn Price
Rob Cross
Michael Smith
Daryl Gurney
Gary Anderson
Nathan Aspinall
Glen DurrantThere will be a return of the challenger format where a different player will compete on each night. The challengers are
John Henderson (Aberdeen, Night One)
Fallon Sherrock (Nottingham, Night Two)
Jonny Clayton (Cardiff, Night Three)
William O'Connor (Dublin, Night Four)
Luke Humphries (Exeter, Night Five)
Stephen Bunting (Liverpool, Night Six)
Chris Dobey (Newcastle, Night Seven)
Jeffrey de Zwaan (Rotterdam, Night Eight)
Jermaine Wattimena (Rotterdam, Night Nine)Predictions will run over 16 weeks, stating from the 6th Feb, with Finals night not included.
Rules:
- Predict the scores of matches posted in the fixtures. There will mainly be 5 matches per night. The matches are first to 7 legs with draws at 6-6 possible. Once a player reaches 7 legs, they have won the game and no further legs will be played.
- Predictions must be posted before the first match of the evening begins at 7.10pm. Any entries entered after this time will not be counted.
-
FIVE POINTS will be awarded if you predict the correct winner and scoreline, or just
TWO POINTS if you just predict the correct winner with the incorrect scoreline. All correctly predicted draws will give you
SEVEN POINTS.
For example, if you correctly predict the first match of the competition will be;
MVG 7 4 Peter Wright you will be awarded
5 POINTSIf you correctly predict the first match of the competition will be;
MVG 6 6 Peter Wright you will be awarded
7 POINTSThis reflects the greater risk of predicting a draw rather than a win.
We will also use the
JOKER system again this year, where one of the nights matches is selected and double points will be awarded for that match.
For example if you correctly predict MVG 6 6 Peter Wright with the
you will be awarded
14 POINTSAfter week 10 when the number of players involved is reduced and we only have 4 fixtures per night a second
JOKER will come into play which can be used on a different fixture to the first JOKER , or placed on the same fixture as the first JOKER which means a correctly predicted score can be worth up to
28 POINTS . very handy for those who are off the pace to get back into contention.
- Players should also predict the player they think will score the
MOST 180'S,
LOWEST AVERAGE and the
HIGHEST CHECKOUT of the night.
TWO POINTS for each of the bonuses will be awarded. Just a name for each is required, and not a specific checkout or average. If more than 1 player share the highest checkout then two points would be awarded for correct guesses on either player.
So for example on Week 1 you could have:
Michael Smith 4 7 Glen Durrant
Gary Anderson 6 6 Daryl Gurney
Michael van Gerwen 7 2 Peter Wright
Nathan Aspinall 7 3 John Henderson
Gerwyn Price 1 7 Rob Cross
Most 180's : Anderson
Lowest Average : Wright
Highest Checkout : Anderson
I will send a pm to all confirmed players a day or so before the matches as a reminder to post scores.
New players welcome.
