Also can't wait to see Vatican City drop in trip, bizarre decision to run him here, full brother to Gleneagles and 2nd to Siskin in a Guineas on only the third start of his life, will make some miler.

Times and sectionals don't point to that being a poor Derby, but a totally awful 'race'. 55,000 quid tricast in the biggest race of the British season? Absolutely pathetic. Some of the best jockeys in the land sat off and expected Serpentine to come back like a seller in a 7.45 at Wolverhampton. Basically Sovereign in the Irish Derby last year all over again. Get in the bin, the lot of you.

Difficult to know what to make of the Derby. No doubt the other jockeys were caught napping, but usually a horse comes back. I just got the feeling he might be quite good.

Still in awe at the performance of Love, was Frankel-esque

I think he is good, just usual time in terms of how horses are prepping with what's going on. Time was very good, bred beautifully.

Fully agree about Love also, some performance that.

The Eclipse looks a ripper next weekend if they all take their chance. Potentially Enable, Ghayyaith and Lord North all turning up, but I've my doubts about the latter.
Really good race that. Ghayyaith toughed it out in the end. Sets Enable up for the King George which is a better distance for her, think Magical might have her number this year though.

Unbelievable that, you'd hope he does well in whatever line of work he's in so he has £2k going spare and he doesn't just have a massive problem! He almost certainly isn't a succesful punter punting her today at that price!

Of all days to back her, seasonal debut, distance short of her best against race fit rivals and essentially a prep for the King George.

Think Frankly Darling absolutely bolts up in the Oaks tomorrow, I think the Derby is between Russian Emperor & Serpentine. Who does everyone else fancy?

Great shout, well played

There is another option. Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple.

More interesting is hills taking a bet that size, they are very risk averse to say the least, referring most bets over £50 to Head office.

I was waiting to cash in a slip behind him, waited over 20 mins at least, he was getting impatient and complaining but they took the bet in the end

more money than sense, he could of gone across the road and got Padddy Power best odds guaranteed which hills dont do (i know she went off evens but still)

as owlybh and duvva said, crazy bet today, when Gosden said she's 85% i knew he was fucked with that

Really looking forward to seeing him over 7. His times so far this season would suggest he's running to a similar level to last season but the rest have caught up and back down to 7 where he was devastating at times could bring about a big performance. If he wins that they'll 100% aim him at the Breeders Cup I think, looks made for that task.

Start of the July meeting tomorrow, I would usually attend at least a day or two due it being local and always coinciding with a mates birthday. As it is the weather looks rubbish so perhaps for the best. Still looking forward to seeing Lord Campari tomorrow, looked potentially smart last time out, not much of a price though. Might double him with Mohaather who’s running at Ascot on Saturday.

Take it he won? I mentioned him to a mate earlier but had no intention of getting involved due to the price, but then forgot all about him due to the match. Full brother to Too Darn Hot I think?

Yeah full brother to Too Darn Hot. Won by about 6l. Went off at 2/1 too.

Looking forward to watching Highest Ground in the Dante. Had him backed LTO. Not a price to be backing at today however.

Mohaather to get some compensation at Ascot for his last run today. Been shortening over the last couple of days so isn’t much of a price anymore but I took some 5/2 earlier today and think he wins the Summer Mile.
The July Cup looks a cracking race, with the rain softened ground I think Hello Youmzain may be hard to beat and can’t see any reason why Golden Horde is shorter so 9/2 seems a fair price.

Today will be a busy day's punting ...

I had an idea to do a Lucky 15.  Betfred pay one winner treble the odds. It's a no brainer really.  So for some fun I went with Godolphin and Buick @ Newmarket. They really do well there at this time of year.

Anyone can play along. £15 is the total stake and you never know!  They will surely have one winner so you get your money back with the treble odds offer @  Betfred.

Lucky 15

Wedding Dance @ 2/1
12:45 Newmarket

Eastern World @ 7/2
13:50 Newmarket

Spring of Love @ 11/2
14:25 Newmarket

Master of The Seas @ 5/1
15:00 Newmarket

Stake
£15.00

Est. Returns
£1,154.00   :o

I will probably  back Hello Youmzain. I love the July Cup.  Last time I backed the winner was in 2006 I think a horse called LES ARCS who also won the Golden Jubilee he was a big price to complete the double ... 14/1 or something.

Was worth a go. The treble the odds /one winner in a Lucky 15 from Betfred is quite a good offer for a bookie!

You could see as Crowley was crossing the line at Ascot that Mohaather was one he'd want back on a different day. Served as a lovely pipe opener in the end though and he's smashed them all over Ascot today. Beautiful horse.

If only they all won like that, never a moments doubt. Wonder if they’ll go for the Sussex now, could be a very good race at this rate

Mile division doesn't look great at present, but there are a few emerging to help with that. Siskin, Pinatubo and Mohaather would be a nice trio to watch do battle. King of Change to return later in the year too.

Just seen that Barry Gerraghty’s retired. At his best was brilliant and certainly ridden some good ones over the years.

A very reliable and consistent jockey.  He will be sadly missed.

Here are two of his best from Cheltenham recently:

Probably the right time for him, had a great Festival to round it off before lockdown but certainly wasn't consistently at his best in recent year. One of the greatest over jumps though, be interesting to see what his plans are now.

Pinatubo back down to 7f this weekend in Deauxville in the Prix Jean Prat.

Back to winning ways. I got 5/4 earlier in the week but missed the 7/4 it opened at. Thought it might have been buried too far back in the field but it hit the burners. Good run from Lope Y Fernández in 2nd too.

Waiting on Royal Crusade to bring in a Godolphin treble.

Pleasing enough from Pinatubo. Picked up real smart 2 out to the furlong marker and never looked like being claimed after that.

Presume they’ll go for the Sussex at Goodwood as it’s the easiest mile around and might just be made for Pinatubo, but it looks a great race if Siskin, Mohaather & Palace Pier all turn up as well

Edit: No Palace Pier in the Sussex betting so guess he’s not going/entered

The Sussex stakes is weakening by the day looks like Pinatubo & Palace Pier will both go to France for their next runs, possibly in separate races.
Also looks like Ghayyaith won’t reoppose Enable in the King George, next stop the Juddmonte Intl at York
