The Gini goal was the only positive from that half. We looked shambolic up until there.
I'd argue that Mane's contribution/performance is another :)

damn it Gini >:(

the thread going to move much slower now.

but fuck me. what are we playing at. absolutely fucking abject

and 1 down and our CB playing pass the buck and hoofing it to 2 of our biggest wide forward in Mane and Coutinho. brilliant.

Absolutely terrible and uninspiring. We are some lucky boys to be level at half... thanks Gini.

Has Phil had a touch on the ball? Absolutely invisible.

Jeez that was a tough watch, took a bit of luck to that get equaliser I couldn't see a goal coming how we were playing. Hope Klopp sorts them out at HT and they start to play a bit of football 2nd half.

44mins and it was completely pathetic. The mentality from Klopp and the players is extremely worrying.

We best get the 3 points.

We deserve to be drawing but make no mistake we've still been wank. I don't see how Milner and Clyne keep getting selected at full back against these teams. They are atrocious. We're basically three at the back because Klavan can't cope anyway so let's haul Milner and Clyne off because they offer sweet fuck all in an attacking sense.

will barnes ever get booked? did the referee mistook them as ferguson's man utd? the players can actually be booked, right?

what a great time to get a goal back! well done divock and gini! now we just have to be patient and get another goal. but shall klopp shake things up? do we have the options though?

Thank goodness for that goal! Cool finish by Gini.

Poor defense in that build up, but credit for that ball for their goal. Nice to see the ref finally calling the wrestling match now though.

Just pick it up second half and we will be fine. Firmino showing why he is so valuable though!

Can and Phil please step it up. Can we also stop the long balling from Ming?

Thankfully got that goal before the 2nd half. Cannot believe how bad Can and Klavan are - absolutely no composure on or off the ball at all in that area... has pretty much shut out our attack all game. What the fuck has happened to Can lately - he's been shite for ages; slow on the ball, off it, a couple of steps behind the game - just doesn't look in it at all, and it's been the case for a while.

Burnley were pretty good to be honest. We'll need to find a way of getting our attackers on the ball quicker and running at Burnley on the counter. Shame our midfield and defence are an utter shambles.

Huge goal at the right time because apart from that we've been absolutely dreadful. Burnley still likely to score IMO.

It was a beautiful goal from Burnley to be fair.

Surprised by how easily Coutinho is losing the ball. He needs to be more arrogant I think. He's better than everyone else on the pitch and he needs to start acting like it.

Burnley have done well, made a good start and deserved their lead.

We sort of got it together towards the end and got a nice equaliser.

Hopefully we can improve in the second half and get a couple more.

Come on you reds, the result is more important that the performance!!!!

If that doesn't give them a reason to go out in the second half and smack this lot then nothing will. Goal aside, that was absolutely shite in the first half. The lack of consistency is starting to really get on my nerves. We give Arsenal a doing then it's the same bollocks against a 'lesser' team. I can't for a second think it is anything but the players thinking they just need to turn up and they'll win. I hope Jurgen is giving them absolute pelters in that dressing room.

Its far too easy to bully us. The centre backs shit themselves and our midfield goes missing, Coutinho just hid and didn't fight for anything.

Glad we got the goal when we did, need to step up and impose ourselves now.

We're a very average team of perennial game raisers, how many games now is it that the gap between Klavan/Lucas and Milner has been exposed over the last couple of months?

We're fortunately Burnley are so terrible, even a mid table team would've put this to bed by now.

I'd say we'll push on now after that goal but I'm half expecting Gray to score in the first 5 minutes of the second half.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

Have we learned nothing at all from playing these teams? Don't we even try anything different during training? That was embarrassing and we're so lucky to be level at HT against a team that hasn't won away from home all season. Hopefully Klopp will put a rocket up them and they'll come out in the 2nd half with a real point to prove. Because that was simply not good enough.

Big, big 2nd half coming up.

This midfield just does not work.  Can? What does he actually do?

Looked good last year, but this season he's been abysmal - especially this last few months. Utterly abysmal. If we're going to get this Emre Can next season, he shouldn't even be in the reserves.

Seems like the Liverpool side that lost to Leicester has turned up here.

Couple of players having a mare, Can being chief suspect in that.

Also, has Klavan banged Neville's missus or something? Jesus Christ, he wouldn't fuck up about him.

Does he ever do anything but? I didn't know about him wanting his wages doubled until I read this thread. He's a joke. Get rid

Only positive I take is the only players in the team, on the evidence of that half, who should be near the first 11 opening game of next season were Klopp era buys. So maybe if we have another 4 summers under Klopp we will have a team capable of beating Burnley at home...

Who gives a shit if we "don't deserve to be drawing"? I hope we have an offside goal wrongfully allowed and a very soft penalty in the second half, sure I would hate it if the opponents got it, but at the end of the day three points would be three points if we won because of things like that.

Hopefully that goal doesn't spare them from the well deserved bollocking they were going to get anyway. Yet again, too slow and casual, bordering on laziness, yet lacking any sort of composure, it really is very odd . It's like they're complacent about playing these teams, and they are nowhere near good enough to get away with a touch of complacency.

Just about the only touch of composure in the whole 45 minutes was Gini at the end there.
