He is very erratic, always shaking his head, him and Cross aren't the best pairing England have ever had.

Long gone are the days of Taylor and Lewis.

Schedule is out for the Matchplay

Standout tie is Lewis v Durrant on Sunday night.  I'm sure there will be a lot of people hoping for an MVG v Durrant game in the second round

Couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's like he just switched off.

Why do the presenters keep saying he might have other things the think about etc? Implying something has happened

Yes, dont know what they were implying. They kept mentioning Michael Smith as well but I wasnt paying attention, did him and Van Gerwen have a row or something?

MVG made a comment about Smith not having the right mentality to win the big events.  Smith then knocked MVG out of the American event last week and responded by questioning MVG’s mentality when it comes to the tour events.

Glen Durrant put in a good display to beat Adrian Lewis last night and now plays MVG in the next round on Tuesday night.  MVG will have to play a lot better than he did last night if he’s going to beat Durrant.

The Jackpot played almost his A-game but Durrants concentration on every throw is fantastic.

I´m looking at Max Hopp to beat Smith at 2/1 tonight, you reckon it is a goer?

MVG and Garry Anderson should both win, but Wade vs Suljovič is a dilema. My money is on James.

Michael Smith is one of the toughest to bet on because he’s so inconsistent.  I’d fancy Smith to win but there is definitely a bit of value in Hopp at 2/1.

I agree with you on MVG and Anderson and Wade v Suljovic is a toss of a coin.  I’d probably just favour Mensur based on his recent record at the Matchplay.

Hoop at 2-1 could be a great shout.

Wouldn't bet on either MVG or Anderson right now.

I don’t think MVG actually played too badly yesterday, particularly in the second half of the game and he definitely played better than he did in the first round or on a couple of his recent games.  Durrant was just too good for him in the end.

Maybe there is a bit of complacency slipping into his game as he only really came alive when he was under pressure.  He doesn’t really have a very good record in the Matchplay for someone of his calibre.  This will be the third year in a row that he hasn’t even made the semi-finals.

He was shite by his own standards. The amount of darts going low was ridiculous and there were legs where he couldn't find a treble for love nor money.

I'm off to the final on Sunday, leave on Saturday. We were supposed to go to the semi finals but the lad bought the wrong date by accident. Based on who is left it looks like the final should be decent whoever plays in it.

I'm going to the semis tomorrow night.  The Winter Gardens is probably the best venue to watch darts in my view.

I'd expect Cross and Wright to win tonight based on form and that should be a cracking match if they play each other in the semis.

Incredible come back by Cross.
