Very weird first half. Our midfield is very good when they are on the ball, but when we're off it we're all over the place. Lovren and Matip keep bailing them out. Mane is turning out to be a beast of a player. While Coutinho is the most inconsistent player I've seen in a red shirt.

Henderson has been brilliant.  Matip and Lovren looks a very promising partnership at CB too.

Should be more than 1-0, Coutinho having one of those days so far where he just can't finish a chance.  Mane needs to be careful he doesn't pick up another yellow but he's been great for us again.

1 of 2 clear pens given by the ref, absolutely bottled the first one for holding, that's a pen not a talking too.

He's given us nothing all half while the spurs lads just need to wave their arms and it's a free kick and a yellow.

Decent half for us, should be up by more, been sloppy at times. Lovren's had some really worrying moments when the ball is coming over his head, if he doesn't play stronger there we could get punished.

This might become one of the most common disagreements of the season. He's tidy, he's generally in the right place, he's smart in his use of the ball and gets forward in support of play. Quietly had an excellent first half, I thought - and I've been watching him because I had a similar impression after Arsenal, when others thought he'd 'disappeared'.

We're playing well but we've got to finish chances like Phil had early on. Also, commentators mentioned Madeley is a fairly inexperienced ref and it shows. Should have been a penalty for the holding on our corner and some of the decisions seem to be heavily influenced by the crowd.

If we can keep this up in the second half I can see us getting a few more.

So proud of that first half though. Absolutely schooling a good Spurs side at their ground.

He hasn't been anonymous, he's linked play a fair bit and has done a good job of getting out of tight spots.

Think it's been a good game so far, lots of pressing from both sides but we've got a lot more pace in behind which is making the difference. Henderson has done okay in that holding role although he's been helped by Alli and Eriksen not being particularly crafty.

I was quite surprised he gave us penalty after he missed the shove on Matip in the box, which under the new rules should have been a penalty. Spurs players making a meal out of it anytime Mane comes near them. Worry that Madley could easily send him off.

He hasn't been poor I don't think, he's been a decent water carrier in midfield. Hasn't done too much but hasn't done anything wrong in possession either. Coutinho has been our weakest link I think.

We all know Coutinho is a magician but he needs to stop shooting on sight, he's had a handful of poor shots now where we had players in plenty of space right in the middle. I'd be getting pretty frustrated with him if I was playing.

We've been the better side, just need to actually start converting some chances.

There has to be some one shooting though, it still gives a threat to their defence when Coutinho shoots, no matter if it goes high, it is needed to add the pressure to the goal keeper and defence.

Coutinho having an absolute shocker, spent the rest of the half trying to do everything himself after missing that sitter in the first 5, wasting most of our attacks. Rest of them are doing alright.

We've been very good. Now the tricky part, turning this into a boring second half where we see out our lead. Our games have a tendency to devolve into chaos.

Should be more than one up. One of my main worries now is the ref. Been erratic at best and could level this up.
