Marca reporting that Real have agreed terms with Sahin and just need to agree a fee with Dortmund (10m euros):

He will join Ozil, Kaka, Alonso, Diarra, Khedira, Gago, Granero and Canales in their midfield.

I know this is a transfer rumour as such and RM are probably going to get rid of about 5 of the above but I just don't get why so many talented young players join a club knowing the personnel that are already in their position.

I honestly can't see the attraction for him. He will be competing directly with Kaka, Ozil, Alonso, Diarra and Khedira.

RM buy Kaka for 50 odd million, then Ozil and are still not satisfied.

Also, why the fuck do they get away with buying all these great players at cut prices! If this is true and he is joining them, why aren't Dortmund standing their ground and demanding 20m at least?!

Seems daft why young players would go to Madrid knowing that during crucial development years they will spend most of there time on the bench rather than staying at Dortmund and playing Champions League football.

10m Euros is an absolute steal. Huge shame for Dortmund too if this is true. Klopp deserves to keep hold of their best players so they can give the CL a proper go next season. I also don't see how he is going to displace Alonso, Khedira or Ozil.

Maybe so but he does his fair share of defensive work, an underlooked part of Alonso's game.

I'd certainly prefer Alonso - Sahin to Alonso-Khedira for most opponents.

Be interesting to see where Kaka ends up next season, probably back at Milan or to Chelsea if Ancelotti stays, possibly Manchester City after all? Would he be willing to join Inter to replace Sneijder if he leaves? I also think ourselves and Man Utd will be keeping a close eye on his situation and the price Madrid will be looking for.

Afterall Real need more numbers for the deeper 2 in midfield, Alonso-Lass-Khedira aren't enough. (I don't really consider Granero and Gago to be good enough in that role)

Khedira isn't good enough either, they have resorted to playing Pepe as their anchorman, they are in desperate need for a specialist one.
