Anyone else use the official twitter app and had any issues? Just lately when I click on a person's profile it'll show me their 3 most recent tweets and then jump to things they wrote about a week ago even if I know they have sent other tweets since. It's really annoying when trying to follow a football match etc.

My Xperia T is a bitch.  Switches mobile data off, and changes the settings almost every time I pick it up!  Any downloads/apps which would sort it anyone?

Power save mode switches mobile data off when locked, dunno about the rest but I never let it run totally flat as it won't turn on for about a day afterwards! About time for an upgrade I think, I'm on sim only so waiting to see how good the Z2 is before I bin the T

I updated my experia l a few weeks ago to 4.2.2 and had some problems with apps. Moving from phone to internal storage resolved the issue

Got hooked up on Quizup - amazing game. Great design, vast amount of topics, everything. Wouldn't mind a 'random topic' button though.

Had problems opening apps on my S4 since updating to KitKat. Most notably can't open Shazam or Tinder. Tried reinstalling but still doesn't work.

Got the Samsung Galaxy S5 yesterday, absolutely amazing phone. I found the bet365 app on my old phone handy but it's not available on Google Play, is there any other way I can get it? If not I can just load their website via Chrome but its much easier with an app.

Also, any apps people recommend for Android/Galaxy that are handy to have?

Glad to see good old Gameboid works perfectly on my Nexus 5.  That's flawless gameboy advance emulation on the S2, S3 and Nexus 5 now.

So if I put a 32gb micro SD card in there would I have 35+ gb of space on which to store Spotify music?

Yep.

Bloody hell, I went on that page earlier and somehow totally missed that. Thanks very much for your help mate.

So my thinking is this:

HTC Desire 300 for Ł99 from Tesco Mobile + 64gb Micro SD card from Amazon for Ł20. 64gig media device for Ł120. Are there any pitfalls to that?

Sounds fine to me.  I imagine the speakers will be a bit tinny, but for downloading music, using earphones and playing over bluetooth, it will work a charm.  Spotify is a great app I've no idea why anyone would buy any portable media device again (unless being extra stingy).

Assuming you have a regular phone, any reason you don't just install Spotify on there?

Bit of help needed fellow rawkers. Just today, adds have been appearing on the home screen of my nexus 5. These are for Vodafone and other brands. Have scanned the phone with avg and that's not picking up anything.

Any ideas on how to get rid.

Factory reset?

Factory reset?

Never done one of them on an android phone before. Does it set everything else back up like an icloud restore does.

There's an App called Ad network detector, it's by lookout and it's free in the playstore.
Once downloaded, run a scan and it will tell you exactly what apps do what.
From displaying ads in notification bar to collecting personal Info and other things.
It is worth getting....as is the regular Lookout security App.

TL,DR: A factory reset deletes everything, and only the operative system is left. Backup anything you want before doing it.

Thanks for the heads up. Seem to have resolved it now. Have deleted done of the apps the kids have installed this week and no more add or redirections on web pages. Looks like a dodgy app has caused this to happen.

Thanks for all the help tho everyone, really is appreciated.

It froze mt phone and I had to do a hard reset. A quick search reveals that there are concerns about malware and the intentions of the app developers. I uninstalled it and scanned my phone for viruses afterwards just to make sure. Since then I've had a couple of junk texts - I hadn't had anything like that before. Swerve.

Cheers for that, I put it on my tablet last night but will uninstall when i get home.

What's the best app to stream World Cup matches on an Android tablet. I'm thinking that I'll be able to watch quite a few on the BBC Sport app/Media player (or I player) but am not sure about the ITV matches as ITV player is pretty ropey. Any ideas? Are there any other good ones out there?

What do people find is the best way to stream videos to a Smart TV using Kitkat?  Using Kitkat on Nexus 5 to be precise, which unfortunately doesn't let you share via wifi direct.
