Imagine having your three center backs all out for the season with injuries in January. Genuinely never seen anything like it.

Should have planned ahead etc etc or some bullshit

Gutted for him and the whole team. Unbelievable to lose 3 top centre backs like this
It's wonderful, it's marvellous, it's 3-3

Apparently his visit to specialist resulted in the worst case scenario. Done his all ligaments I presume?

It’s just utterly bonkers isn’t it, 3 senior centre backs, all out with season ending injuries (most likely).

It explains why we got 2 centrebacks instead of 1 now. Really smart to keep that under wraps because I know Kabak's price would have gone up by another 10 million if that was known. Does confirm that we'll see the new lads play much sooner than expected. Davies'll probably start against brighton cause Kabak has quarantine.

So that's all of our senior CBs from the start of the season suffering ending-season injuries before the February mark. All of them.

If that isn't the worst luck in Premier League history, I don't know what is.

Gutted for Joel. A brilliant player.

Quotes from Klopp are interesting - suggesting that the repetitive injuries might be solved with proper treatment, rest and preparation - cites his Schalke time and fact he rarely missed a game. Not something that had to be said in that statement. Fingers crossed, would be great if we could get the Matip back that played a big portion of the 18/19 season.

Amazing to think we've already played 12 different combinations at centre back, and now with 2 new players we could have a few more.

Fabinho Kabak
Fabinho Davies
Davies Kabak
Hendo Kabak
Hendo Davies
Phillips Davies
Phillips Kabak
Williams Kabak
Williams Davies

Potentially 9 more combinations. Insane run of bad luck for one position

This was my starting 11 for the Rehab Cup.
I feel more than justified in including Matip there. Definitely a mainstay of this team. Can infact build my team around him.

A.Lallana J. Redknapp  N.Keita J.Litmanen
F. Aurelio D.Agger J.Matip R.Jones

Subs: A.Aquilani, A.O.Chamberlain, J. Gomez

A side so good, and everyone in this fantasy world beng so durable,  that it needs just 3 subs.

Yeah really don't think the plan was to buy anyone till the summer. Think we were happy with matip fabinho hendo Phillips and Williams.

Could be a blessing in disguise this injury cause we know he would have had a couple more niggles till the end of the season.
