Going to be interesting to see how the TO lets people know who are in the lower position numbers. One of us is position 345 so fingers crossed. Hopefully just a simple E-mail ot call.

With the Final next week it will be a phone call. "do you want one?" and they'll do the transaction there and then.
I'd also say if they phone and you dont answer you may miss your chance they'll just move on to the next person.

Horrible way to do it, but I bought 2 off touts at the LFC v Utd Carling Cup in Cardiff, was it 2001? Cost me £150 each ticket. They'll always be spares floating around. Best thing to do (if your head can take it...mine couldn't!) is to find the touts and hang around and buy after kick off. They'll be wanting to get rid asap as they won't want to have tickets and no money, even if it's break even.

I am kinda thinking that will be my best way on the day.  Should get in some way or another.

Not much point in flying 20.000 plus miles return trip in 6 days for nowt.

As someone mentioned previously...try and give a turnstile operator £100 to get in and then go and squeeze in where everyone is standing up

Very very stupid to even suggest that to be honest, hope it was tongue in cheek.

This is laughable,a rediculous suggestion, shouldnt pay more than £50.00 Max ;)

Seriously with the new barcoding system on tickets you will have no chance paying on the turnstiles lads...best watch it in the boozer!

Just got thro to Customer services eventually who said they will be starting to phone and email people 'sometime today'. She said they would be doing both but couldnt say what would happen if you missed the call or how long you had to respond to the email!

Did they say anything about how many ticket are left?

As i'm worried the ticket might not arrive here (Vienna) in time do youse think it's possible to make a special arrangement with the TO to send it the quickest possible way (think that's airsure with Royal mail for international delivery) if i pay more for it  or will they all get posted the same way and if it doesn't turn up i'm fucked?

A fair few will get sorted, wouldn't like to say how many. Unknown to me until yesterday one of the lads I know says he got successful in the ballot but doubt he would go. Told him of one of the regulars who is traveling down with us is going without a ticket and hoping to get lucky, so should he not wish to go just give us a shout.

Sent him a text earlier on asking where did he buy the ticket for. Reply back "I only finished late and it were shut when I tried to buy one, I will try later today" Absolute dickhead, he could have gave me the details and I would have bought it for him. I reckon he has either got it and shifted it on and trying to get as much as he can for it, he knows the sales are over so trying to play dumb. If not then someone on the waiting list has got lucky. Good luck to them.

Well looks as though 2,000 have just had a late xmas pressie.

so those that purchased their tickets very early in the sales have yet to recieve them so what does it mean for ballot winners that purchased 2 days ago? going to be a long wait i guess.

Well, the ultimate nightmare happened! 1 kid drawn out but not the other or me. I get a ticket now as its a child's ticket that was drawn.
Blimey, how to tell 1 of our kids they can't go? It'll scar them for life
I'm not moaning, pleased to have got 1 but gutted by the decision we have to make!

OMG - well, after all of the worrying I had been doing regarding leaving 1 of our kids at home.........My daughter has been successfull in the reserve ballot list!!!  ;D Hooray, don't have to leave 1 of them at home after all. So husband & 1 kid in block 112 and me and the other kid in block 104.

As soon as I saw we could check the extra 2000 tickets and that daughter had been allocated 1, we got straight on the phone. So, relieved!
Thanks to everyone who offered advice and hope lots of you are lucky. I wouldn't wait for the email confirmation, once you know you have been allocated a ticket I'd get on the phone to the TO!
