Great goal but they just sat off

3 players charged out to the wing and no one picked up De Bruyne

Palace score and then retreated like it was last five mins.

Really bugs me when commentary and pundits just dismiss deflections that are the only reason the goal is scored.

There's next to no point in camping in against this City side. Palace look handy when they're trying to play on the front foot.

The only way place are getting anything out of this, is if they throw the crystsls in the city changies at half time, lock the door and tell crystals to take one for the team.

It's fine to camp in, but you need to offer something on the break. Just lumping it back is a recipe for disaster.

EDIT: Haaland with a League-2 player finish.
Mark my words. Top 8 will be a massive struggle.
We won't make any big signings this season and we will go back to being a top4 club.

Any half decent team going forward will take points off these, they give up so much space in wide areas.

The worry from this game was that Palace couldn't land a glove on them. We now know they can. So we're back to the start of the game but with the added bonus Palace can hurt them and have Olise to bring on. Keep the faith.

Palace playing well but City could easily have scored 3 goals. Henderson's pulled off two good stops from Rodri and Haaland.

Equally Palace have had a 3 on 2, and a 4 on 2, counter attack that they messed up when it looked like a simple ball would leave an easier chance than either of the Rodri or Haaland ones

I think the only hope we really have with City is that they get a red card in one of their games. Unlikely though

Lucy Ward. She doesn’t stop taking.

Thanks, mate couldn't think of her name. I don't mind talking as long as what's being said is sense or insightful. Tell me a manager who wouldn't want to work with 22 world class players so that when one position is unavailable/injured another slips in seamlessly. Then show me the only one doing it and he's cheated.

She's absolutely terrible at her job, then again, all the BT sports crew seem to be.

That pass from Wharton was such a shame. Flashbacks of our woeful counters against Utd in the cup.

Think Glasner will be a really good appointment for Palace in a Frank at Brentford kinda way. Develop talent, clear shape, always competitive. Their recruitment has been pretty underrated in recent years as well.
