Quite like Arsenal, they were my dads team and they're a proper football club, I'd have them winning trophies over the Tories, Abu Dhabi or Saudi FC.

As someone now living in France, I have to agree.

UK plugs have a much bigger/better surface area on the the prongs and unlike most other plugs in the world, they're fused.

Shame about the state of the NHS, Tories, cost of living, sh!te roads, CCTV everywhere, traffic, sewage in rivers, etc. etc., though eh?

Since we have a new thread, seems a good time as any to get opinions and predictions on Arsenal for the upcoming seasons.

What do you make of the signings?

What do you make of the team / squad overall, where are the strengths / weaknesses?

Where do you think Arsenal will finish?

Anything above 5th will be purely down to the genius of Arteta.

I'm assuming Arteta has also nearly finished unifying quantum mechanics and string theory?

I don't see how United can finish above Arsenal, and surely Chelsea have too much ground to make up. Spurs are definitely in transition. So I am very sure Arsenal will finish top 4.

Can they successfully defend their title?

Their title of course being the club to be running away with the Premier League, on top for the most amount of days and winning fuck all.

Watching Cashley cole on this soccerbox thing on sky with ratboy neville. He asked him who is the best side you played for. Arsenal 2004 he said, which is interesting, given he played for some great plastic sides at chelsea.

Ha ha.
Not denying Arsenal had a cracking side in 2004, but they never got near winning a Champions League.
Hate Plastic FC with a passion, but they did get their grubby hands on just a few trophies along the way.

Been watching footy since well, well before the best part of you slid down your Mam's leg.

They taught me to acknowledge when someone is in need of attention, even if the conversation has nothing to do with them.
