Fuck am I pissed with this result. When are we gonna learn? Stupid draws are what cost us the title last season, now we start the season with another Brentford like result.

Midfield wise we didn't have control of the midfield. Same as the Brentford game, and same conclusion, we need a midfielder who can control the game. Bright side was that Elliot is a good prospect as a creative outlet, however we need to buy a midfielder, like Jude Bellingham.

Attack wise Nunez was a delight, his directness, pace, physical presence, and finishing instinct all bode well for the season. Should have started him instead of Firmino.

Still angry with this result. 2 stupid points dropped. When are we gonna learn from our mistakes of drawing stupid games...

That is a poor result sorry we should be beating these if we want to win the league and weíll look back at the end of the season at games like this. City wouldíve battered them.

Oh well onto the next.

I love the fact that everyone is taking for granted that everything will go easily for City, despite the fact that they were not looking ready either.

Start Nunez and we win that game comfortably. He doesn't need to be eased in, he's our best number 9.

Bobby had one of those games where he's so anonymous we might as well be playing with 10 men.

Christ, what an embarrassing post after 90 minutes of a season

How many points have City got so far?

You are as bad responding to it. You'll always get that type of poster and they are best completely ignored.

Feels painful dropping 2 points but not to worry. We came back a goal down twice after a lacklustre first half.

Youngsters looked decent and Nunez on target again.

Manager literally said we weren't ready last week against City because we weren't.

The way things have gone the last few years, thatís a big blow. Simply canít afford dropped points to promoted teams.

We clearly werenít ready today and pretty much every player looked rusty and leggy. Finishing pre-season after the campaign has kicked off seems very odd. Why didnít we just come back a few days earlier?

If that was in the other box we would not get a penalty.

Youíve got no chance there, I suspect tubby thought that was a superb refereeing display. Itíll be interesting to hear the audio for that when itís released.

Bobby had one of those games where he's so anonymous we might as well be playing with 10 men.

Nothing against Firmino but he was making it harder for us. Dropping deep into a midfield that was already congested. Nunez on the other hand stretched the play and gave space to everyone.

Shit result considering we were playing a team that finished 19 places below us last season and we spent a shit load more then them in the off season.

I reckon there's going to be a lot of teams targeting us down our right side in all competitions this season.  They're going to see TAA as our achilles heel.

Silly points to drop, kind of game you look back on after missing out on the league by a point.

Fair play Fulham.

Brentford last season 3-3. Thatís what cost us the league, hope we donít look back in this on at the end of the season.

We were shite, but like you say fair play to Fulham.

started slow and a bit disjointed overall. Playing your first game away is always a pain. Pretty much losing all the second balls.

Milner made a difference. Elliot also. Darwin and salah got a goal so there was some good. Some shite performances as well.

I don't want to single Trent out as he had a much better second half but he needs competition for his spot - just in general as sometimes he looks almost lethargic in his play. Henderson also not great today.

Maybe a good kick up the arse for us though. Certainly wouldn't say no to some youthful energy in our midfield.

Lacked intensity and drive from midfield for much of the game. Havenít been that disappointed in the teamís lack of effort since we got thrashed 7-2 by Villa. Clumsy by van Dijk on the penalty, pretty clear on the slow mo replay he got Mitrovic. Love the look of Darwin, he made such a difference when he came on.

Our sicknote midfield is a massive worry. We need another CM, yesterday.

Our performance was excellent compared to the ref, otherwise shite. Another year of that shite, awesome. Reffing will not improve, VAR wont improve. Might as well just play without refs at this point really, there are not a single competent ref in this league.

We underestimated them, certainly looked like this. At the same time our whole team was pretty bad, slow. No rythm, no sharpness. When you cant do the simple passes right you will struggle. Darwin, Diaz and Elliot looked like they wanted it, an Mo woke up in the second half a bit. The rest need to wake up a bit.

A terrible start to the season. One can hope it only goes up from here..

Last season we threw the title away before Christmas with shyte draws, here  we go again.
You can't play catch up with city.
See I donít think City are a shoe in this season, quite a few ins and outs there. That makes todayís result more infuriating because I think weíre favourites. Elliott has to start moving forward, moves the ball quickly and spots chances to play forward. Shout out also to Milner who was excellent.

Some clear hyperbole in here, and will be in the usual places, not least on cesspits like Twitter and the usual dickhead pundits and journalism. Such is modern day football.

There was an element of complacency and arrogance in our play. First game of the season. Better to get a slap in the face now and wise up early. Oh, and watch Fulham bend over and lube themselves up against City when they play them. They won't put a shift in like that against anyone else this season. Put money on it.

Just me or was that pen a clear dive?
There was contact, knee on knee. No angle showed the contact itself clearly, but one from the side/behind showed Mitrovic's knee jerk back at the moment of contact. As that was the leg he was about to shoot with, enough for him to go down.

Yeah we can only afford two dropped points to win the league :duh

Good lord, clearly not the start we wanted but the usual suspects (yes you included) really are filling their boots here. We took six points out of six games against the rest of the top four, thatís where we need to improve.

very clever by Mitrovich running into Virgil like that.

That's a dive all day

Were we watching different games?  Virgil hung his leg out, caught his knee, then pulled it back.  Mitrovic made a massive meal of it, but there was contact, 100%.

We where ready against City last week so after another weeks training how where we not ready today.   Fulham certainly where.

All teams are starting early this season, thanks to the stupid world cup later in the year, it's quite clear that most managers have been making this point about wanting longer preparation time. We can win a one off match like last week sure, but then going straight into the league and with the inevitable injuries we've suffered, I am not entirely surprised. Also Silva was unhappy about the time as well despite Fulham coming into this game fresh.

If Fulham don't play with that full of commitment and steel against City, bellends!!!

But I could easily accept the result as there's nothing to complain the way we are playing though, not smooth like our standard performance.

Nunez is a business. And for his goal, Mo - assist as fuck!!
It's there to remind our lads who they're playing for and to remind the opposition who they're playing against!
