I'll be surprised if he does, Klopp will have these things mapped out and Moreno will come back in.
Alas yes. Moreno has serious competition now though.

The lad simple oozed calm and quality today.

Few nervy touches to start with but grew into it massively and was probably our best player today.

Was interesting that Milner dropped in to cover and at times, was the Left back whilst Robertson played as a Winger.

Oh Robertson will ultimately become our regular left back once the season settles down, they'll simply share the role for the opening stages.

He's linking up with Mane,Firmino and Milner like he's played here for years. That can only bode well.

just noticed that as well. Maybe they have work on drills on the training ground.

Decent debut and hope he grows on to the role and secure the left back position as his own

Not so sure. Klopp's not stupid and he'll have been impressed with that performance. Not sure what Moreno offers that Robertson can't do?

Finally we have a decent reliable left footed  everyday LB.

Nice debut from him, unlucky not to have 2 assists today.

Believe me, I wasn't bigging up Moreno's chances. Few more displays like that from Robertson and it'll be another season on the bench for the Spaniard.

In an attacking sense Moreno's pace is an option away from home. At home when we will have the ball more Robertson is more intelligent as illustrated with the positions he took up. Both players have defensive issues but in terms of attacking there is different strengths there.

Boss signing this! Wonderful cross, the way it swerved for the Matip chance was mouth-watering. And looks calm and comfortable defending. More of the same please!

Robertson looks a much more rounded full-back to me and I wouldn't say he lacks pace either.

Personnaly id like to see him have a run of three or four games to see what he's capable of.

Away from home Moreno is the last person we need playing. Our defence is likely to come under pressure away from home and Moreno cannot defend.

Wasn't tested much defensively, but he looked very composed and calm on the ball, put in a few excellent crosses, and showed good movement. Good debut, based on this performance I think he should be ahead of Moreno for sure. He seems to be a well rounded and smart footballer.

Loved his confidence, very comfortable getting beyond the ball and whipped some nice crosses in. Could have had a couple of assists but for our forwards being bewildered by decent crossing.

Some of his crosses.  Loved the width he added as well.  It was further up the pitch Moreno's width is farther back and he tends to want to attack the penalty box instead of maintaining width.

He was taking risks with intricate passes in behind the Palace team, often debutants play it safe so this was a good indicator for the type of mentality this lad has. Proper trusts his own ability, good to have.

Well done Andy, nice debut. He looks like a footballer who likes a one-two and I can see him getting better and better once he becomes accustomed to playing for us. He's going to have many opportunities to rack up a few assists over course of the season. I didn't know much about him myself but I did read a nice piece by RoyHendo on why he could fit in here and I can see what he meant. Clearly a long way to go but if I was him I'd be happy with my home debut looking like that.

But but but, he didn't start the first two games of the season?!
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

This team needs more pullbacks from the byline rather than crosses to the lone striker. Robertson showed good timing on couple of occasions to get in behind which was very promising especially with one underlapping run in the second half where he displayed good sense of timing and off the ball movement.

To be fair we should have scored from two of his crosses.
