On the same grounds I presume that Jamie Carragher would no longer be a Liverpool player had you been in charge.

He has as much previous as Bellamy and Pennant ?  :o

If we get a good result in Barca, I couldn't give a fuck about this to be honest.

young lads on tour, have a few drinks, bit of aggro, everything OK the next day, so what.

Spot on for me

have you seen the echo this afternoon? or this morning's Post?  or listened to City today? its not all london media.

But have you had a look at what Bascombe et all are saying. Bellamy and Risse have been fined and theres no talk of players being sold.

Another example of the media over egging the whole thing, which has been the case from the off.

Having been disciplined by Benitez you'd expect whatever happened to be put to hisotry, but no, we have to endure article after constructed mainly from the words "allegedly", "rumoured to have", "believed to have" and "is said to".

In otherwords, they are guessing.

KOP CLOSES RANKS AFTER ALGARVE SHAME
David Maddock 19/02/2007
Mirror

WHILE boss Rafa Benitez was keen to play down the controversy that has rocked his club this weekend, he knows that the aggro on the Algarve could be the death knell for Liverpool's season...........

At least that article seems informative that version of events sounds plausible. If Bellamy had attacked Riise with a golf club "properly", I'd imagine he'd be up for assault with a deadly weapon... or at least a middle class one.
Dudek being cuffed and professing his love to the local police all sounds quite YMCA to me.

He has as much previous as Bellamy and Pennant ?  :o

This is the first time Bellamy has stepped out of line as a Liverpool player, if you are going to start shipping players out at the first such indiscretion then you are going to lose a lot of good players.  Carragher being one player we would have lost.

What a time for something like this (if true) to happen.

Less than a week to go until one leg of our season defining match and the players are behaving like this.
Like What?

Looks fine - all been blown ridiculously out of proportion.  Rafa will do a good job of dodging questions on this anyway, meaning the players can concentrate on the upcoming game.

I know pics all over the tabs, club's name dragged through the mud, let down the manager and the fans.  Shoulda got rid, it was obvious that he was a bad influence and would come to naught.

Absolutely. I agree 100%

The only point I was making was that its not just the "london media over egging the whole thing". local media are running the story too.

Bellamy knew he had to be on his best behaviour when he joined this club yet he has fucked up again, Carra should  also have known better, but it was a one off incident and he has been a model pro since.

Bellamy just continues to be a child, even when his fuckin career is on the line.

I'd say there may be a case for unlocking it now, but last night was a joke. Even now I'm not sure there is enough clarity to avoid some of the crap that's seeping into discussions on RAWK these days. The club have dealt with it by fining the two players and they are looking ahead to the Barca game. If there's no more information coming out of the club what is there to talk about? The size of the fines? was it a wood or a wedge? what was the song Riise refused to sing?...

I'd put money on it just degenerating into a slanging match between those who think Bellamy's a no-good trouble maker and those who will still give him the benefit of the doubt.

Bellamy knew he had to be on his best behaviour when he joined this club yet he has fucked up again, Carra should  also have known better, but it was a one off incident and he has been a model pro since.

Bellamy just continues to be a child, even when his fuckin career is on the line.

Pennant also stole a car and ran over Rafa.  And he was pissed up!  Not really.  Anyway, this is all blown out of proportion.  They were all pissed up and this has no doubt been exaggerated beyond belief.  Will probably make us stronger for it.

What is it with these Norwegians? They dont fucking shut up. This c*nt should keep out of it

http://www.eurosport.com/football/premiership/2006-2007/sport_sto1091788.shtml

Blackburn's Norwegian winger Morten Gamst Pedersen has criticised Craig Bellamy for his alleged attack on Liverpool team-mate John Arne Riise.

Pedersen is an international team-mate and friend of Riise's, and also played with Bellamy at Blackburn.

The winger gave his reaction to Bellamy's reported attack on Riise with a golf club to Norwegian newspaper VG.

"Attacking a team-mate with a golf club is not something I would do, that is for sure," he said.

"I haven't spoken with John Arne properly but what happened was not good.

"John Arne is a pro and he will get over it, he is an adult and a good player on all accounts, so he will be fine."

However, despite the incident, which occurred during a Liverpool training break in the Algarve, Pedersern says that the party culture amongst players in England is dying out.

"It used to be worse," he admitted.

"Before players could do just about anything they felt like, but today it is different.

"As long as you give your all during training and represent the club well, there are no problems."
