Henderson in for Downing, but the info isn't 100%.

Makes sense and probably should have been the case against Southampton.

Where you heard that mate? If that's the case it'll be interesting to see who plays on the right as not one of Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez or Henderson have played in that position under Rodgers. Based on that, I doubt it's true, Downing will probably start. Plus he said in his interview BR wants him playing every week.

Nope just Carra...
Well we have all dreamed of a team of them for many a year, plus he has a good scoring record against them.

Has been doing a few rounds last night, Therefor I don't think it's 100% reliable as a day before seems a bit to early, all tho BR probably will go with 3 in the middle after 4-2-4 experiment and with Allen out Henderson who has been rested in U21 game makes a lot of sens, And if it's between Coutinho and Downing, I think he will go with Coutinho who has 2 goals and 2 assist in 5 games or so.

My wish for today. Reina - Johnson, Carra, Agger, Enrique - Lucas, Gerrard Henderson - Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge.

Johnson owning the whole right flank, Coutinho playing wide left, Suarez and Sturridge moving about creating havoc. Sturridge to get back on the scoresheet today.

Cheers yorky, I share your optimism today but I have to caveat that on the basis of a more shored midfield being expected. Revenge is there to be enjoyed and I fear slightly that a 424 formation would expose us to similar dangers we gasped at incredulously at home.

That said, its still likely to be tough, Lambert will be asking his players to secure a desperately needed win with them facing Stoke away, Fulham at home then MU away next.

We need the 3-points less than them but Brendan needs the win against another of his peers facing fresh challenges as he is.

2-1 the reds.

Exactly the 3 I'd play too. With this in mind though, BR has difficult decision as to who he leaves out of the 'front 4' that he's been trying with recently.

Remember that Villa have won their last 2 PL games and with Wigan winning yesterday, they will be desperate to win today to get out of the bottom 3. Its going to be a very difficult game.

We need to control the midfield. If BR puts out a midfield 2 with Gerrard in it, I will have to doubt his tactical awareness as that cost us the games against Southampton and we were lucky it didn't cost us against Spurs. Hopefully he will see that and play Henderson, Gerrard & Lucas. If he does, I think we'll win. If he doesn't, we will lose and that for me will be unforgivable
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

I fancy a comfortable win today. When they beat us at home, we tore them to bits for the first twenty (we now seem to be getting this early goal when the pressure is building). We have on the whole been beating teams in the bottom third of the table. Lets hope this continues 4-1 to Liverpool

Yeah the only difference is they are playing at home now and fighting for survival in the PL with few games left.

If anyone is comparing this game to the last one and it can be fixed just like that, they are in for a surprise. Just like those who fancy us winning with a few, no fucking way.

They will come at us from the kick off, and with our shaky defense, it can get ugly.

If we have any kind of ambitions to play european football next season then this is a must win game. We have much tougher games ahead of us and can't afford to drop many points for the rest of the season, and if we drop them here then I fear its game over for top 5.

I don't want the easter bunny to bring me chocolate, just a win today!! Don't really care who scores, as long as we score more than them. We certainly have a team capable of destroying them, but it will come down to BR's tactics and which team mentally gets off the team bus.

Go on Red Men, smash those villains!!

can see Benteke will humiliate our defence again :'(

Your name and post do not correlate

We will have undoubtedly learned our lesson in the last game. We must watch the runs of Benteke and Wiemann more closely. They will press high up the pitch so Henderson would be a must (He probably is considering Allen's injury) Futhermore, there is room to exploit Villa's defensive lapses by having Downing/Suarez attack their respective full-backs. If sturridge has the room to operate he will receive chances, but only if the rest of the attack supports him.
