Derby might be the Monday - they've done it a couple of times in recent years I think. Unless there's no Monday game that week?

Which would also move Swansea from Boxing Day to Wednesday night on the 27th December I suspect

Anyone know when the Christmas tv fixtures will be announced? Looking to go to the Leicester game on the 30th December but don't want to book flights until the kick off is confirmed.

I've read the 16th too, I presume that's because of the Christmas Eve debate, but they are scheduled for Thursday. I think August was early & September was late if I recall correctly.

Apparently the date has been pushed back by a week to Thursday 19th October.

EDIT - The Premier League have confirmed that there will not be a 4pm game live on Sky on Xmas Eve. However, there will be 4 matches televised that weekend.

Get in!

If there has to be a game on Xmas eve the sensible choice would be
Stoke City - West Brom
and to a lesser extent
Brighton - Watford
Leicester - Man U

So that being said and sky being sky we can rule those 3 out, so it's just a question of which set of travelling fans they are going to shaft from the following games...

Arsenal - Liverpool,
Everton - Chelsea,
Burnley - Tottenham,
Man City - Bournemouth,
Southampton - Huddersfield,
West Ham - Newcastle

The shithouses that they are it's nailed on to be one of those

So now one week's delay from the Premier League's original 12 October commitment for the publication of December fixtures and a two-week delay for January's.  Stinks.

It looks like 19th to decide December fixtures but not Xmas Eve - Apparently another week delay 26th October before they commit on Christmas Eve and beyond - seems like they are waiting to see who will still be in the EFL Cup that week to see who they can give the Friday Night Fixture to.

If that is the case then the only positive is that there will be plenty of spares about for people that cant usually get them for Arsenal.

I for one will be swerving that.

Trains back for me are about £100 and take twice as long as usual. Shite.
