That was a Liverpool first half that, only they scored a scrappy goal and didn't concede one. Forest have missed sitters, City created fuck all and Forest much sharper and more up for it. City will need more goals and to up their game.

They've been under the cosh a lot more this season. Particularly away from home.

Ake and Akanji are both rubbish, rodri bails them out constantly

So if a stress trigger is not having the power to do something, why would you agree to join a club and work under such circumstances?

If I'm Slot, making such a gargantuan step up, it's much more stress-free and provides a certain freedom, in being given less responsibility and just focusing on coaching the team. With the astronomical uplift in salary, he has little to lose in accepting the role.

I would also say it’s a bit harsh to bring the likes of Ibe and Smith up, they were literally from his first transfer window in his first appointment in the job. Like anyone, you’ll make mistakes early on, is it really fair bringing them up 8 years later?

Can you name any more recent counter examples during Hughes' decade at Bournemouth?

Maybe the Arsenal result is in their heads. But Forest are up for it and City are used to teams rolling over like Brighton.

He's really rapid and tenacious, which I think are the most important qualities we need in there - decent on the ball, too. I don't necessarily think height at that position should be a deal breaker. Having said that, we've collectively forgotten how to defend set pieces, so maybe it will be important.

We should have signed him instead of one of the 8’s we ended up signing last summer.
