I know I know, why would you want to run Windows on a mac.

For me, it's to see my mates faces jaws hit the floor when you do desktop switching using VirtueDesktops. Now that is some sexy shit.

Any other "suggestions"?

No, it's not a great idea. Not by a long shot. In fact, it'll not be a great idea for about another 5 years, when it becomes common in PC's. Then it'll be the best idea ever, grounbreaking.

This from the person who started a thread last year about these revolutionary DTV usb sticks for Macs, and how PC's users were way behind AGAIN.

Some twat had to point out that PC's had had this since the days of ON Digital. Spoilsports.

How do I get the 'default' applications out of the dock? Items like iChat that don't have a 'remove from dock' option.

ps. Yes , I am back on the mac.

Works a dream. Even a nice little message that reassures me that the app isn't being deleted.

Perfectly, in my experience, though I was more a Mega Drive man myself, so have used that emulator more.

I downloaded that, some games and bought a mac compatible joypad at game, and it all worked fine.

I wish, but I'm using the mouse, and the apple logo and shut down. For some reason the thing refuses to shut down. It keeps calling me 'Dave' , which is a tad disconcerting  ;D

Just call it Trig back.

I used to use the voice recognition on my mac for a laugh, to launch programs and to shut down. It's a good few years ago, but it worked fairly well.

Nowadays, I just don't shut it down. Apparently they're better off left running and only restarted very occasionally.

If it's a video, then VLC player should be able to play it.

If you need to burn to disc and can get it onto a PC, the usual Windows programs that handle bin/ cue files are Daemon Tools (free) or Alcohol 120/ Nero (not free).

been using the beta for a while, and it's very good (for what it is)

Basically, it's like MS office, but free.
