I think for sure we have to go with this now - cos the team is desperate for Hendo back in midfield, Fab too. But people having a go at the manager for not doing it today need to tone it down a touch.

Ozan has had an awful season so far, the idea of throwing him in today cold vs the best team in the league would have been madness. It’s great looking back and saying ‘it could’t have been any worse’ after the fact.

At least now he’ll have a few days to work with his new teammates and coaches, rather than the couple sessions he’s had so far.

You buy an emergency centre back - then don't play him? Not like he is not match ready - he's been playing regularly in a division just as strong as the Premier League.
Well, we left it to the last minute and went for the cheapest options available. Two inexperienced CBs who clearly Klopp doesn’t want to throw in the deep end.

Could have signed a more experienced option at the start of January and they’d have been playing for weeks now.

It will be nice to have a threat at set pieces when he plays. Our corners may as well be goalkicks at the moment.

Needs to start against Leicester. The entire teams balance is off without Fabinho and Henderson in midfield even if he's mediocre it'll be a massive boost to the team getting Fabinho and Henderson back in their proper positions where they'll be able to cover him somewhat in midfield as well as support attacks.

Agreed - tough first game against a returning Vardy but ultimately if you can't trust players against the best forwards then you probably shouldn't have bought.

It would have been a massive risk bringing in one or two new defenders into a game of that size after being at the club a week.

But with our season now hanging by a thread, we need to seriously think about playing two recognised central defenders from now on and get our first choice midfield back into their proper positions.

Yeah his goal return is ok, would be nice to win a header from one of our corners let alone actually threaten the goal. An opponent corner is better for us than one of our own at the minute, a big weapon missing from our game.

Give him more than a couple training sessions, and he’ll be in, Kabak's had a horrible season to date, not sure sending him in with barely a training session under his belt, vs the best team in the league would have been that wise a move.

The question is - why it took so long to get them in in the first place, cos Ozan (or whoever) could already have had a month under his belt by now.

But whatever, it wasn’t done, and here we are. Hopefully the new boys get a good weeks training and be a touch more ready for the next game. One of them has to start so Hendo can move back to where he needs to be.

Ideally Klopp would have got the Leicester/Leipzig/Everton games out the way first, and still might, but if either of the newbies impress in training they need to start next week. Even change the system and start them both.

Ideally yes, but our midfield looks so dysfunctional right now and the changes off the bench are not strong enough.

Having Fabinho and Henderson back in midfield, with Wijnaldum and Jones to come on looks much stronger. Hopefully with a stronger midfield those central defenders won’t be as exposed.

Really looking forward to seeing this lad. Has the raw tools to be a dominant centre back for years to come, and I trust Klopp and his team to coach top notch raw talent.

No way. Unless they are utter shite the order of the day must be getting Kabak or Davies ready to play and from the very next game. If not then all they are doing is making the clubs decision to wait until the 31st Jan look even more daft.

I'm talking from Klopp's point of view and nobody needs to tell him how stupidly shortsighted the club were being last month.

I think he's looked good. Tidy on the ball, looks a threat from set pieces and is no slouch either.

Nothing to do with kabak.  Had to be the most frustrating season in history full stop. The run of luck, injuries, decisions, dominating teams getting hit by their only real chances etc goes on and on.
Just had a look at the table. Grim reading given games played compared to others.
This season looks like a complete write off.

What a first game for the lad.

Looked pretty comfortable until the last 10 mins.

I think it's a continuation of our season, no settled central defence and we don't look like holding onto leads.

You’re kidding right? He was perfectly placed to clear that ball before Alisson decided he’d try make up for the first goal. Might have been his fault for the third by playing Barnes onside but realistically the game was gone by then.

Well here the lad thought he left a sinking ship, now he’s just exchanged the sinking ship for another

(Im joking, kinda)

I don’t think he would’ve been expecting his keeper to be storming out like that so can’t put much fault on him for the goal.
