Ahead of schedule then.

That's brilliant news.  Given how serious the injury was it would be a big bonus if we could get Oxlade-Chamberlain back on the pitch this season.  Still more hope than expectation at this point though.

Yeah but in reality, he won’t play until 2022 and even then most likely only at Rhymans Premier level
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Great stuff, when the league is won in April and we are resting players for CL semi's and stuff it'd be awesome to see him get a few minutes.

Right. But back in team training is not far off a gameready isn't it?

But a person who hadn't watched the interview would have read your post and probably would have interpreted it to meaning ox will be back playing which isn't what Klopp said.

More Kloppo quotes on Ox:

“It’s a surprise [his rehab]. It looks really good. Of course it needs time and each little muscle must now adapt to the intensity.

“If you look at the sessions he does outside he looks like he can play tomorrow but of course it is not possible. It’s a boost for the entire dressing room because he is such a big part of that.

“It’s a surprise. He’s ahead of schedule. That’s always good news. We try not to push him too much but we don’t want to hold him back.

“If he makes further steps like he did in the last few weeks he can play Premier League football this season which is nice to know.”

Great news. Watching that interview with him a few months back and seeing his intensity on the pitch, Oxlade-Chamberlain seems like the type of player who would take the rehabilitation process very seriously. Hopefully he can play some sort of role in the success of our season, even if it’s minor.

He seems the kinda guy that would be a huge boost just being on the training ground.
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

It honestly blows my mind  ;D

Expectations must be tempered. Temper them, them tempered expectations for if we do not temper them now then they may be untemperable in the future.

Good news, hopefully he can get some minutes this season and he’s fully set for next season. What a player he was for us just before that injury. Would love to see him come back and score a goal in the CL final, lift the trophy after a bad injury ala Cisse back in 05.

Just needs to appear in five pl games and hopefully he lifts the PL trophy over his head with a medal round his neck at the end of the season and getting ready for the CL final.

Should we read anything onto the lack of a reaction from his knee to the training?

Is that a good sign long term, or just good short term?

Or am I just clutching at straws?

Great news. Always horrible when any player gets an injury like that but to have it happen when his form was as good as it was, was just a cruel blow. Would be brilliant to see him play a part in this season and after the heartache of how last season ended for him, playing a part in this season would give everyone a massive boost

Means the club are managing the intensity of his rehab perfectly.

Have to keep in mind that players who get back after such long time usually suffer a setback here or there as their bodies readjust to the intensity again. A little luck with that and I'm sure we'd see Ox towards the end of the season which would an incredible boost really.
