Fantastic episode.

One thing though

Spoiler
Elliot is Elliot but why would he let his father alone dying there? I mean everyone reacts differently in these situations but I had troubles understanding Elliot's reaction, it was so cold and inhumane (again I know how Elliot behaves but this was super weird)
[close]

That's where the shocking part went when I mentioned it above. Left me baffled as well but I readily attributed it to his 'weirdness'.

He had just launched him out of an upstairs window hadn't he,Elliot had his cast on so I am assuming that is the timeline.

But during it

Spoiler
He puts on his dying dad's jacket and hushes the seat next to him. I took that as the birth of 'Mr Robot'?

Also Elliot is a bit more than weird. His dad threw him out of a window and his mother is meant to be abusive too. Supposedly other than the window throwing thing he was meant to have a good relationship with his dad but I think there's a bit more to it than that and all. I can't forget Krista's reaction of utter shock when he casually mentioned it earlier in the season.

Renewed for season 4, great news.
The biggest problem anywhere in the world is that people's perceptions of reality are filtered through the screening mesh of what they want, and do not want, to be true.

Just watched the finale. On a show that has been full of tremendous acting since day 1, somehow Cannavale is setting the standard even higher.

Yeah he was great.

Spoiler
What I loved is that his 'larger than life' character made perfect sense in this episode. Only way to survive.

Amazing episode to finish off a very strong series. I felt that it didn't need the post credits scene, though. The way it ended, and the way it was edited, was perfect. Should have just left it there.

Oh, and what is it about Bobby Cannavale playing absolute psychopaths?

Mentioned that in the previous page. I thought this was gonna be a slightly different role but I was wrong after all. :) He was excellent in the last episode. Best performance by a mile.

A truly strong series indeed. Each episode had you glued to your seat and felt like nothing you watched was a waste of time.

Admittedly, never once I made the thought of what we saw regarding Angela.
Spoiler
It now makes sense. “Find a way to live with what you did.” It'sprobably the only time I agreed with something Price said and didn't make me want to bash his head.

Just watched episode 5.

Jesus Christ, I've watched some good episodes of television before but that stood out. Felt life a television version of Metal Gear Solid at times. Soundtrack is just at another level too. Thought it something by Alt-J at first but not surprised it turned out to be Philip Glass.

Just finished this last night.

Not sure whether I liked it or not to be honest.

It was good - but was it actually good?

Very nicely put together, well acted, lots of surprises...but it feels like its a bit too complicated for its own good sometimes. And retcons stuff all the time - in the last episode especially 'Oh wait, these central tenets of someone's character are all based on a misremembrance/mistake?' Hmm. I'd watch another series like, but I'm not wowed by it - I think this season was better than last though.

I've not seen a single advert or mention on social media - so bizarre.

The last episode was as near to perfect as you can get, can't imagine another show pulling it off so well,if anything it was too short.

Never even realised when watching it. 50 minutes and hardly a word spoken is a masterclass in creating tension. Most film directors today could learn a thing or two from watching that.

Absolutely. I didn't know until it was mentioned in this thread, it was that absorbing.

Surprised by the lack of praise this is getting online/social media from what I've seen.

So...
Spoiler
I was a bit worried about the 3rd personality thing that got randomly chucked in earlier. I rolled my eyes at the idea of just throwing that in there as another potential story twist for the sake of a twist, but the way it was done makes perfect sense in the only way it could have without it feeling needlessly convoluted. Elliott's 3rd personality actually being the person he would, or should be, without the history of his father and the bombshell revelation of his abuse introduces a whole new dynamic to the show.

It was all tastefully handled and hard hitting at the same time. Really good.
