Changed mine four times today, thought I’d settled on Mane, thinking he’d get some minutes tonight. Now I’ve just tore it up again, I just know him or Deloufeu will bag a few this weekend now.

I know i always thought it silly that the game doesn't tell you how big the leagues are. you can always scroll page by page there are 50? players on a page. There's usually a good few hundred players. My goal every year is to make the first page on RAWK but ive ever only done it twice in a dozen or something like that.

edit: Did a quick count 15 pages, so about 750 teams so far.

What is your thinking here?

He looks a great option at £7.5m and Villa at home but their first three away games are City, Arsenal and Leicester.

Do you think he is a guaranteed starter?

For this game only due to injuries and new bodies within the squad, he'll be gone after this weekend.

So i tore up the rulebook and went with 5 starting defenders. Read several articles that insisted this is a doomed strategy, but i said fuck that weve got Trent and Robbo breaking records, they need to learn what time it is. The basic idea is our fullbacks and Citys fullbacks plus Mo and Sterling. Laporte is a placeholder for Mendy or possibly Cancelo since Zinchenko's stats are weak imo.

so the corollary is ive only got one mid price striker and two bench strikers as a result. Never tried this before its either bold or stupid

               Pope

Trent Robbo Laporte Walker P-Walker

 c- Mo Sterling Fraser Tielmans

               Wilson

Button   Hayden Wickham and some 4.5 arsenal striker since i cant take that manc guy on policy

serious value for money points wise. im going to do sooo well in last years game  ;D

People never learn. There’s not many City players you can safely pick. Ederson, Laporte and Sterling are the safest bets.

I have gone:

Patricio
VVD / Vertonghen / Robertson
Salah / Bernardo / Tielemans / Trossard
Vardy / Kane / King

Bench: Button / Dendoncker / Kelly / Lundstram

Bernardo Silva = 0 minutes
Trossard = 0 minutes
Vertonghen = 0 minutes

54 with Kelly and Lundstrum from the bench. 4 still to play tomorrow - Dendoncker, Tielmans, Patricio and Vardy.

Shite start! Fully expecting Dendoncker and Tielmans to be benched!

*Annoying post alert*

I'm on 86 points, with Jimenez and Perez in action today/now.

Picking Origi enabled me to spend more elsewhere, could only have done better by
captaining Sterling instead of Mo but that will reverse some weeks.

I thought i'd done very well, ended up on 84 and im in a 12 way tie for 62nd on RAWK  ;D on the second page i might add.

Fowlerisgod09 leads the way with an impressive 116 points, having expended the 3x C chip. Some familiar names such as the Oompa Loompas, the One-Touchables and Atletico Pathetico and others were also seen already lurking around the top 10, all at 90+ points.

Awesome work RAWK

The head to head had a 92-85, an 88-86, an 84-84, an 86-79 and several other notable scores. Wily veteran Thush K led the way with the 92 with Red Roos also posting a strong 90 points.

Also outstanding.

46 points in my draft league, got 32 on the bench though which bloody hurts.

Out of available players to pick up I'm trying not to be too clever and go with form. For this week what do people think to GroB for Brighton at home to West Ham (Southampton home the week after also), or Iwobi on debut against Watford. Either would be a trade for Ryan Fraser (villa a).

Alternatively I play neither and keep King (villa a) Vardy (che a) and Aguero (Spurs h) all on.

First thought was Iwobi in (although I have Richarlison) and drop Vardy, but Chelsea look like they can concede goals.

Thoughts? Bear in mind its a draft so not everyone is available.

Knew i should of stuck with my same GK tactic as last year using 2 budget GK's, Allison who i went for in the end, injured :(
Transferred him straight out for Ederson though!

Will probably look at getting Pope and Ryan in when using my wildcard though to free up funds elsewhere

Ryan was an unexpected bonus, coming up with 9 points in an away fixture. He and captain Sterling were my only real contributors but it was enough to get me up to 70, a par score for a week when seemingly all the big guns racked up serious stats.

I have Heaton as backup GK but that was before he got sold to Villa; was just waiting to see who would start for Burnley and Southampton before ditching him.

Patricio
VVD / Vertonghen / Robertson
Salah / Bernardo / Tielemans / Trossard
Vardy / Kane / King

Bench: Button / Dendoncker / Kelly / Lundstram

Tempted to go again with the same XI. Bernardo will surely play v Spurs, the Brighton manager said Trossard was unlucky to miss out and is waiting for a home game to start him, Dendoncker seems to be first choice ahead of Saiss so will get minutes but unsure on Kelly. With Cahill fitter, might he start ahead of him?

Either way, I will go again to get the 2nd free transfer - that will give me a bit more room for manouevre with transfers.

Not yet... it’s 1 game... I’m just gong to wait until end of GW2 and make 2 changes if need be.

Might be worth waiting until  the international break is over? Gives you time and can assess fitness levels, injuries etc at that time.
