Looking around on some Chelsea forums, Turnbull, McEacharan, Bertrand, Fereira, Romeu, Lukaku and Kalou are the changes they'll be making. Most common line-up seems to be: Turnbull Fereira - Alex - Luiz - Bertrand Lampard - McEacharan - Romeu Kalou - Lukaku - Malouda
I didnt realise Paulo Ferreira still played for them!!
No Torres? Not wanting to carry on what's going on in the Torres thread but he didn't start on Saturday, it would be very surprising if he didn't start today.
Just had a phone call off me mate who's got his hands on a spare for this one. About to fuck off work early and get the train down. Never been Chelsea before, i'm going to sink a couple of beers on the train and i reckon i'll be in a boozer near (though not too near i hear) the ground by six. Cannot fucking wait!
24 hours is nowhere close to being enough time to recuperate. I don't know what kind of routines and medics we have, but when I used to play there was no chance that I could play 48 hours after a game. I would just not be able to run enough. Amazingly 72 hours later I would be able to play with no hint of tiredness.
I don't understand why people don't want us to field our strongest team
In such a sumptuous festival of shite, I wouldn't be so quick to pick a winner..But he'd make the shortlist
^think that's pretty likely. AVB has insisted he'll play young players regardless what happens. Of course he could change his mind though.
I played football last night and feel like I could play another game tonight and I'm no were near fit, nevermind as fit as a professional footballer. It all depends how they're bodies can cope. We'll see a strong team tonight IMO.
This was posted in the bets thread.any idea is theyre going to play that kind of team? I'll put the mockers on it, but thats very beatable, surely?
yer ma should have called you Paolo Zico Gerry Socrates HELLRAZOR
You think that, but when you actually start playing you realize that you can't. That is exactly the reason why I said it is nowhere enough time. I bet if you go and play a 90 minutes tonight, you would understand what I am saying. Of course, I was not a professional footballer and you may be right that they can cope better, but I still doubt it. They would not be even 75%.
Exactly. No torres for league,no Torres for CC too?Why do they pay him then?
If not already posted....Liverpool: Reina , Kelly, Coates, Carragher, Agger Kuyt, Spearing, Lucas, Henderson, Maxi CarrollChelsea: Turnbull ,Bosingwa, Alex, Ivanovic, Bertrand ,Romeu, McEachran, Lampard, Kalou, Torres, Malouda From Soccernet.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.
Thought we may have had news of the squad traveling down by now. Think I will catch this on LFCTV's radio coverage. Steve Hunter is a good commentator and quite passionate about LFC too. Sadly for away games it's normally just him and he does not have an ex player as co-commentator. The TV companies and FA have messed this one up big time. .
Doubt that'll be the official team.Doesn't Kenny only release the teamsheet about 1-2 hours before kick off?
This is incredibly our 30th time playing Chelsea since 2004. Terry is suspended and Meireles is cup-tied for them.
