I've generally quite liked the kits New Balance have done (even some of the more outre efforts) and I do have concerns about Nike producing some generic, identikit shirts, but if we end up with a shed load of money (and the home kit is simple and classy) I'll survive.

Of course, it may not be Nike after all...

Anyone else thinks it looks a bit weird that this season's kit shows up sweat so much?  It changes to a much darker red.  Have our NB kits always done this?

Yes to which question?  ;D

To it being a darker red when players sweat  :D. I don't think it's weird, all kits do that. Look at previous kits, when it rains, and there's a stark difference in colour.

Nike kits always seem to do it even worse, especially in colours like Man City's.

Ugh, I really hope not, but then again it might save me some money as I usually don't like their shirts plus they cost a fortune!

Thought the new colour was too dark compared to our emblem. It looked a bit too dull especially under flood lights.

Love the pin stripes though and I thought that brought a bit of class to the kit.

The kits definitely became darker as they absorbed sweat. Origi looked like he was wearing a different coloured shirt to the rest of the lads when he first came on.

Isn't it better that any moisture wicks off so that the players don't carry extra moisture weight?

I'm used to seeing shirt manus with all these fancy claims etc.

Seeing shirts heavily soaked in body sweat is a throwback to the 70s and 80s!

Bring back the 90s plastic shirts when nothing would stick!! Haha

The black GoT armour kit was looking pretty banging against S'ton the other day.
The Home Red is luvverly how it reminds me of our early 80s Kings of Europe vibe - APART FROM THE SOCKS!!!!!!!!!!1
And our White n Blue tribute to other North-West clubs (Preston, Tranmere, Bolton et al) aint bad now I've seen it on the players.

All in all, think we haven't had 3 kits in one season looking collectively this good since the 1980s.

Let's hope this continues to get better and better.

I bought a new home shirt from the club shop a few months ago for my cousin in Vancouver. I’ve just got to Vancouver; he’s opened it up and seen it’s still got the electronic tag from the shop still attached to it! God knows how it went through the electric checking thingy at the door.

I’ve got the receipt but it’s at home somewhere; paid with my card. I really don’t want to go through the process of bringing it back to UK, trying to get it back through to the shop and trying to explain I’m not thieving to the person at the door, then getting a new one and posting it at some cost to Canada and worrying about taxes and all that crap.

Any suggestions anyone? Will the club insist on seeing the receipt? Is it worth trying to break the tag? Maybe the club might refer me to a shop here in Vancouver? I’d much rather sort it from here but might end up doing more harm than good.

I bought something a while back and the same thing happened to me. I tried the magnet trick but it wouldn't work on this tag. I ended up using a variety of tools on it, though I wouldn't recommend that in case you damage the shirt. It was a swine to remove.

As you said, there are definitely plenty of ideas online, often with videos.

Failing that, I wonder if the cousin in Canada knows any local shops he uses regularly and who know him who might remove it for him once he's explained the situation?

EDIT: I see New Balance have a store on Robson Street, Vancouver. Maybe they could help? Maybe your cousin could phone them and ask before he takes it in?

I hope you get it sorted, Farman.

Hopefully after the Super Cup game, the Chelsea-style white socks have been ditched for good  :butt

The kit looked glorious in the red-red-red guise.

Half-half stuff are dubious as hell.

For example, last year's Lazio shirt here shown by Lucas.

What a mess:

Geez...more on the socks.

Unless you know better, now that the season has started the players WILL be wearing the Red & White socks. Why? Because all those kids who want a full kit, want what the players wear. So the players will be required to accommodate the White in the socks.

And besides, it's fecking boring reading more and more whinges about the socks. If you don't like them, don't buy them. Simples.

We've worn them twice so far..won 2...what's the problem... :P

TBF I don't think Forbes are running much of a story from what I can see. Appears to be just a few lines on their page about us.

It appears some less than reputable sites have ran the story over the last few days, so they could well have picked it up from there.
