^ no idea Rod, I expect it's way less than you'd think, they all move to Portugal and elsewhere so young, I was just reading that lad From Bahia that villa have just signed was all over Europe playing futsal and semi-pro from his teenage years (he was working in a factory back home in Brasil)

Exactly, hope they win again but such a shame they may meet Boca early in the semis this time.

Definitely looking like one of the semi finals will be River/Boca. Hope it doesn't descend into as much madness as what happened last year

I'd expect the winner of that to go on and win the trophy.

Does the final of the Club world cup usually tend to be European cup winners vs Libertadores winners? I've never paid any attention to it but I think it usually is.

Good to see Flamengo go through. As one of the older posters on here, I remember when they beat us 3-0 in 1981. Some of the best players of that team (Zico, Junior, Leandro) went on to form IMO the best international team I have ever seen in the World Cup in 82 for Brazil. What a player Zico was!

How perfect would it be to finally become world champions by beating them in a rematch in December

The European side has always made it, but the South American team sometimes loses in the semis. There was a Japanese team in the final last year, and a Congolese side and possibly a Moroccan team recently too? We’ve got to win this imo, I can’t be doing with not taking it seriously given even Man Utd have won it once.

Put your money on Flamengo I think, now Jorge Jesus has some time to settle in I think they'll look good, actually think the Brazilians will win it this year, Palmeiras second faves for me
