Either which way, it is weird and the ref has almost certainly been on the ol’ Columbian marching powder.

I think both your explanations are correct 😁

Love it that that the Boca goalie thought he'd just hang around 30 yards out - even after the corner had long been cleared... :)

What a game.  Was pretty shoddy up until the first goal in truth, but was solid gold entertainment from there on in and that last minute had everything.  River by far the better side over both legs.  Great stuff.

I think it’s because even though there wasn’t any contact between the two, the River Plate player’s tackle was deemed to be dangerous.

It’s indirect because it’s not a foul, but is still considered dangerous. Hope that helps  :)

Ah ok, thanks for that. I didn’t realise that was an option in the rule book to be fair, shows how much I have to learn!

Epic Libertadores for me this season - even  the low point, the  - 3 to santos - but also the high point because of what followed, that was fucking boss, I heard the TAW/Henry winter thing about this before - about winning and how that isn't what football as all about ... what do I know - I know I love the energy, the vitality and the passion. I live in south America but I'm home tonight in Liverpool for the Napoli game. I love this game we all love - goodnight (Had too many hot toddies)

River in earlier round used an ineligible player, admitted it, and weren't punished for it.

Also their manager got a touch line ban, used walkie talkies for the match he was suspended for. No further punishment.

The cheats won... :wanker    ;D

Does the winner River Plate get a seat in next year’s Libertadores automatically? Because looking at their league position, they are struggling a bit although still a lot of matches to be played.
