Went with Allison just for the header against West Brom even though he's been playing pretty amazingly the 2nd half of the season and probably deserves it on merit alone.

Had to go with Mo for being great the entire wank of a season. Although if Trent performed as well as he has second half for the entire then we'd have a close contest.

Nat gets a mention for his massive improvement and playing to the absolute max of his abilities.

Another for Mo. Four seasons into his one season wonder. Loads of others deserve a shout too for what they put in, especially those around the fringes of the team at the start of the season who stepped up.

Give over,it is possible to think that more than 1 player has done enough to be considered you know.

I went for Ali because he has had a cracking season whilst playing behind an ever changing central defence but what tipped it over the edge for me is that he has also had what would have been his worst year ever as a human being & never missed a beat.

The lad only missed 1 game after his fathers death ffs and every man and woman among us would've accepted his decision had he decided to fly back home, that is adversity my friend.

I could even flip it back to you and claim that you obviously take all the other players for granted.I'm not going to though because it would be a stupid accusation, especially so because we're talking about a team game.

I love Mo & I love Ali,Fab,Trent and all the others equally

Was Fabinho early on, no doubt about that, but his injuries out the brakes on him a bit - would still qualify for second place, though.

Goal scorers get all the attention and why not, hard to displace Mo as the player of the season. But let us do a short list first:

Mo for them goals
Gini and Robbo as mr reliables
Fabinho the midfield destroyer although spent so many games playing out of position
Nat and Rhys for stepping up when needed
edit and Ali of course, what a season of grief, season of joys for him. Kudos to big man  :scarf

I will actually have the spoils shared. Why not.

Can't say it was a very tough call to be honest and the poll results bear that out. Salah has been incredible for us this season, particularly given Firmino and Mane have both gone through periods where they've been at a very low ebb. But Salah has kept going, kept making/ getting chances and kept scoring. I wish he'd been a bit more clinical at points (Madrid springs to mind), but his numbers and attitude speak for themselves. What a player.

Harsh on Mo, but I've gone for Fabinho.

He was flawless at CB, we missed him awfully when he was out, and his return to midfield solved a lot of issues and brought the best out of certain players. He's been a rock, and consistently brilliant.

Mo's goals have carried us at times. It's difficult, they're joint top for me.

(Calm down,just my opinion.)

Our best defender has been Fabinho - also our best midfielder, hence his place on the podium. But don't underestimate Nat's impact. 12 wins out of 17 (71%) when he's started, 8 wins out of 21 (38%) when he hasn't. His two absences during the last 10 games of the season were also the only two we didn't win, and in both cases we conceded a late equaliser because we couldn't handle the opponent's bombardment. For all his limitations, he's been a critical piece of the top four puzzle.

Mo or Fabinho for me. Consistently brilliant.
He's not been our player of the season but I actually think Trent has had a very good season. He had a bad spell yeah, but for the most part he has been excellent. I think sometimes when people get dropped from an international squad it forms a perception that they've been poor or a while. You have to remember too that he has had Van Dijk in his ear for a few seasons now talking to him. It's not easy playing full back with an ever changing centre half pairing. Every other country in the Euros will laugh their bullox off if England don't put him in their squad, he's easily the most creative wing back of them all.

I voted Alisson. For all the fuss about the defence, he kept us in countless games with his heroics and his header was probably the most crucial goal of the season. Salah did well too but his figures were boosted by penalties. If Mane and Firmino had been more consistent I don't think his season would have looked exceptional.

Mo is the pretty obvious winner, which is why he's pretty obviously winning :D

Fab and Ali have both been good this season, and consistent.

Trent and Thiago haven't had their best seasons ever, but they've both been massive in this run to get 3rd.

Robbo, Gini, Bobby and Sadio again not their best seasons, but they've been grinding through all season and have been important for us when others have been dropping like flies.

Diogo has had a good first season which would have been massive if not for the injuries.

Hendo has been really good when he's played, but obviously missed a lot

And the kids can all hold their heads up high for their performances this season, particularly Nat, Rhys and Curtis.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I know most will go for Mo because of his goals and he's the only one of the forwards whose been anything like himself.

For me though I've put Gini as for almost every game I watched this season he's been the one player whose not let his standards slip the whole season. Robbo and Trent along with lots of others just seemed to loose the will in a lot of games this season which is completely out of character for them.

The whole team took a massive dip in form and Gini is the only one for me who I think didn't.. that's why he gets my vote.
