Klopp was raving about him to play centrally or in the half spaces. I think whereas Firmino is comfortable in our 4-3-3, it makes best use of the other players to switch out to 4-2-3-1 regularly. Further unpredictability, as requested? Plus, his pressing game drew this comment:
"The opponent had to kick off seven times [after our goals] and the first guy who chased the opponent again when they received the pass was Taki. He set the rhythm for all these pressing and counter-pressing situations, so I really, really liked the game tonight."

His chasing after the half time kick off that resulted in him winning possession and then scoring the goal was absolutely phenomenal.

He is now starting to fit into our style and his energy and pressing are excellent. He’s not afraid of the ball and will improve further. He’s a slow burner, as was Fabinho and Keita, but there are real signs now that he’s going to be really good.

Never understood this description of Minamino. He joined the club mid-season, different country and league knowing nobody at the club, then after 8 weeks, football was suspended as we went into lockdown for 3 months. Nothing like those two players' start. Slow burn? He wasn't even lit until preseason if we're sticking to that analogy.

Last player I recall doing that with the same almost rabid hunger, as if on a personal mission, was Agger against Drogba's Chelsea.

Very exciting to see what Taki (and Diogo) are going to bring to this squad in terms of a quality of depth we haven't seen before and something that will be much needed in this congested season.

Am predicting that Taki will be pushing hard for a starting berth come January

Starting to look better, and better with every game,

He doesn't run around the pitch, he glides.

I recon he's got a bit of an arlarse streak in him as well, on the sly.

Link up and work rate is the main part of his play. I see Taki as a direct replacement upfront that doesn’t change our style of attack. It will also give bobby a bit of a kick up the arse IMO.
