I wanted to confirm what the exact TV rights are in the USA. I received this email..
"TEAM AG, not Kirch, is the worldwide TV rights distributor for the UCL.
TEAM has renewed its deal with UEFA through May 2006.
ESPN International's contract with TEAM for exclusive TV rights to UCL in all non-UEFA countries and territories runs through May 2003. ESPN has first rights-of-refusal to renew through May 2006."
In other words we, in the USA, will be stuck with one match per week unless we get ESPN to change their coverage inside the USA.
What we want is the same tv coverage as those who receive ESPN International. Both tuesday and wednesday matches shown, and double headers to boot.
So get on board and help us USA Reds. That's what being Kopites is all about isn't it..helping others?
