Oh yeah Ronaldo is incredibly greedy on the ball. He is literally a one man show at times (not a bad one) and will always look to do something himself than involve others, hence why Ferguson kept shifting him up front.
On paper, Ronaldo and Robben looked a great set of attacking midfielders but in reality I am sure 8 other outfield players would have been dreading it because they would have hogged the ball immensely. The few times I watched Madrid last season I saw players shouting at Robben loads, mainly due to his greed.
See, being greedy destroys team football. Last season, Inter Milan was like that with Ibra being the main guy who is supposed to take the ball and do it by himself. You can do it against shit teams or if you are lucky, against big teams, they won't allow you do it. Hence Inter was going out every season.
I watched Madrid's match against Sporting Gijon, all goals come from individual brilliance of players, not team work. In fact, that is what they have been all season, aside from Guti passing the ball well. The first goal by Van Der Vaart is from free kick, second from Alonso is from corner and the third from Higuain is him taking the ball and scoring by himself. All good goals, but not a team goal that involved 5-6 passes. They rarely have that team play, because once it reaches Ronaldo or Kaka or Higuain, these guys will carry the ball and shoot it. Without team game, you can't win against top quality teams.
Bayern Munich was just like that against Fiorentina. Robben scored from miles out, Van Bommel scored from distance, too. After that, all Robben did was shooting every time he has the ball. Extremely poor team play and that's why I think Mancs will knock them out.
