From studying the railway map....
here's a pretty precise location for that photo...
In the pic below, the camper van and breakdown truck(left arrow) are parked in the position of the gates to the right(as your facing it) of the original building in the old photo.
I reckon those cobble stones they are parked on are probably the original ones.
That wall at the front is much more recent.
And that bit of track (middle arrow) set in the road might just be the last remnant of the docks railway system. It curved out and joined the tracks that ran underneath the LOHR. There was another track to it's right (top arrow) curving towards town but all that's left of that is a bit of granite peeking out of the tarmac in the road tracing where it had been.
(I'm coming up to Liverpool tomorrow and might just have a quick detour to see if it's still there.)
If you wander up Bankfield Street on streetview, to your right is possible the remains of the side wall of that building.
