Brilliantly late reactions all round from us. From the players who decided to play after an hour to Kenny who made the much needed change at 2-0, instead of 1-0.

Carroll was encouraging to say the least but I still don't see what type of a side we're trying to be or players who know their jobs, which showed in the first half and the season as a whole.

Dalglish isn't the best when it comes to tactics.. we saw it today again i nthe first half and beginning fo second.

Dunno why it took us 60minutes to wake up, Carroll changed the game. Too bad we didn't start with any passion. Chelsea I think were the better team on the night. Was hopeful when the first one went in , carrolls 2nd looked like it crossed. But he should have headed it down instead of up. He can't hang his head though, great performance.

That's a goal man. A different angle would only show it was even more forcefully. It's over. We didn't play well, we weren't good enough.

Must be same linesman who said Chelseas was a goal against spuds, really pleased with 2nd half performance and if Kenny can instill this kind of attitude into the players for next season where we play like that for 90mins, we will be unstopable

2nd half performance made me feel so proud to support Liverpool, unlucky lads and everything about Chelsea is scum, horrible club and fans.

Chelsea were hardly amazing. Just did their job in an efficient manner. Much like us under Houllier.

Last 30 minutes was decent but we should've been more up for it from the start. Spearing had a bit of mare, leading to the opening goal and Downing and Henderson were anonymous, as ever.

Carroll was utterly superb and had he been in from the start in that form it might've been different. But the team that started looked good on paper, and should've done better from the off.

Henderson AND Spearing in a cup final instead of Carroll or even Kuyt? Fucking unbelievable.

What a great season, worst league finish in 50+ years, get to a final and then this kind of performance. Every time.

We turned up too late.

Carroll has gone forwards.

Downing and Enrique gone backwards.

Henderson needs to take a long hard look at himself after that as well. Doesn't seem to have the balls for big matches.

If Carroll doesn't start the remaining matches it would be a crime. He's the only player today that looked like a true LFC player and is the only player that showed his quality.

It was Dalglish's tactics that got us back into the match. The reason we went 2-0 down was from shite performances from the players, not the manager.

It was not over the line stop kidding yourselves. Who would have thought Carroll would be the one to kick everyone up the arse. But, too little too late.. Didn't turn up for the majority of the match and didnt deserve to win. I expect a couple of players on that pitch to not be here next season.

Agreed. The selection was fine, but the tempo was all wrong. Maybe some credit goes to Chelsea for dropping deep and killing the pace of the game, neutralising the intent of a Downing-Suarez-Bellamy front line.

Disappointed to be fair since becoming a Liverpool fan I haven't had much cup final headache. We nearly always win the big games bit a few disappointments for sure. The left side of midfield, Boswinga defensively is a hazard for Chelsea yet we could not exploit it. Downing and Enrique were poor. Too laid back or something. They have no chemistry and as a result seem to play for themselves rather than the team. I can't put my finger on it hopefully it improves next season. It is so typical of this season that we play when we go a goal or two down.
