Recently found a Blackberry Mobile Phone on the bus whilst on a business trip abroad... Never actually heard about them until my recent researches on google. Does anyone have one and are they as good as they say? I have orderred a power cable for it, so I havent actually used it yet. Just trying to decide whether to sell my Ericsson and use this Blackberry instead.

My wife uses one & raves about it.........my brother in law hates his with a passion!

Hope that helps  :wave

Theyre ok, it really depends how reliant on your emails you are. As that is the main feature. I wouldnt make good use of one personally as most of my emails consist of CDwow telling me valentines day is coming, and various companies who think i should invest in enlarging certain areas of my anatomy.

if you were to wait a month or so, this should be out

http://www.mobilegazette.com/sony-ericsson-w880i-07x02x06.htm

still only a 2mp camera though. The selling point is obviously the slimness. If you were patient enough to wait abit longer, rumours are the successor to the k800i (besides the k810i) will have a 5+mp camera. Which is fairly decent for a phone.

I don't particularly like the look of that but then again, I've never really gone for the slim phones. Think it's always better to have a phone that you're certain is actually in your pocket, one that you would notice if it slipped out. Love my K800i.

Just ordered myself a Sony Ericsson W950i on upgrade with Orange.  2500 minutes, unlimited texts for £35 inclusive :)

Arrived this morning, sending it back.  Texting via the number keys is near on impossible because they're flat and not raised.  Its way too fiddly.

Might give the Orange SPV M3100 a whirl, nothing to lose as can always send that back too.

Whats the W610 like Matt?  Have got the W810 at the mo and it looks like a slimmed out version of that, which I like the look of.

I've not seen it personally, but info can be found here:

http://www.mobilegazette.com/sony-ericsson-w610i-07x02x07.htm

Similar sort of buttons to the w880, didn't feel nice from what i experienced.

Personally, my upgrade from my w810 is due in march, but im going to wait until the summer, when sony ericsson have a rumoured 5mp cybershot phone to replace the k800. If it keeps going the way its going then I'm sure we'll probably see a big decline in the lower end of the digital camera market soon enough.

I like having a camera on a phone, handy for the odd pic but I don't use it with any great frequency, so anything 2MP or above is fine for me.  Looking for something really slim this time I think, but I like the SE range because the MP3 players are the best I've experienced.

the se phones are definately the best for mp3 playing. Shame they cant provide mac compatible software - doesnt make it impossible to use as a walkman, just makes it more difficult.

I personally use the camera alot and the mp3 rarely though, and i'd much rather use my ipod on the rare occasion when I do use an mp3 player (long journeys, coach, train, plane, etc...)

My mate has the W850i at the momment, and i want something like that but newer if it helps at all ;D

w850 is a pretty nice phone - theres not alot out that compares apart from the w950 which doesnt have a camera, and the one above that i said about.

I would personally wait a couple of months and see whats about then.

Just a bit worried about the camera - a few reviews have saids its a bit shite.

Am looking at the motorola bebl as well.

Both look pretty solid phones, theres the Razr V3i aswell but that looks a bit bulky to me althought it does havea  better camera.

Anyone got one of these?!?!?

Don't even think about it.

I got one as my upgrade last year but it made me so mad that I started using my old Nokia again for another year.

Not due an upgrade for a couple of months yet like but was wondering about the rumours of the SE with a 5 megapixel camera. Is there some truth in these rumours Matt or should we be just expecting the K810i?

For anyone not too arsed about a camera etc then the Samsung X820 might be worth a look. I've had it for about a week now - menu system works well, battery life is alright, and it really is tiny.

Matt S seems to be the font of all mobile phone knowledge then! Wonder if anyone could comment on these deals (I've just given Orange 30 days notice as coming to end of contract 10th March). Not too bothered with camera or MP3. More interested in Bluetooth (can the TomTom1 do Bluetooth calls?). Also, wouldn't mind keeping my phone number whilst staying with Orange. I've heard it can be done by getting a cheap PAYG sim and then transferring the number. Anyone know exactly how? Thanks for any advice / comments.  :wave

Is the best phone there. If your on orange pay monthly then just get a PAC code from their customer services then you can transfer it once you get your new phone.

As far as I know the tom tom1 doesnt have a hands free function, but you'll have to check the tomtom website.

I am on pay monthly....PAC code is on it's way to me via post, when you say "you can transfer it", how do I do it exactly? Sorry mate - never done it before and not the most technically minded (still using a ZX81  ;) )

Cheers
