Very much hope we bring in a new CB. Gomez is not good enough to start for potential league champions.

Well done today, Mo and Alisson.

What did Gomez do wrong? Think he was very good. Agree on Mo and Alisson

Watford gained a bit of belief when we had Sadios goal chalked off and they realised they could play the game under WWE rules without being penalised.

Despite being continually wrestled, grappled and grabbed, Mo was too good.

Next.

A few weeks ago clean sheets were the be all and end all.

A win is a win. We were never going to drop points. The bed-wetters in the crowd need to give their heads a wobble. If you can’t handle a bit of pressure in a football game, fuck off and watch the darts.

Job done, despite not being overly sharp, and despite another incompetant refereeing performance.

That is all that matters at this stage.

Three points. Clean sheet. Job done. Shame about the Wijnaldum injury.

Also I didn't realize you don't get punished for kicking and holding Salah all game. Good to know. Officiating was shite.

ha ha he was awful. Like you said, Salah getting manhandled all game (which happens all the time and goes unpunished) but that blatant foul on Wijnaldum in the first half and then not bringing the game back after counter-attack when Salah got fouled. And Ben Foster taking ages for each goal kick in the first half. Awful.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.

Well done today, Mo and Alisson.

Wasn't today his first PL start for the season? Also our first clean sheet at Anfield.

Gomez is an excellent player, several times he saved us today in one-on-ones.

Don't care about the performance. It is obvious that our players are managing their fitness for the busy schedule this month. Looking at Gini's injury we may wanna think about getting a CB on loan in january.

A bit scrappy and thank goodness Mo scored two good goals. Was there one foul given to Mo for all the pulling and holding going on? The referees seems to allow anything against Mo and it's getting ridiculous.

The wind probably made it hard to control the ball but we won and that's the main thing. Keep winning and let the others slip up.

Why wasn’t the Watford player sitting on his behind being counted as active for the offside?

He was the last man (it's usually the goalie).

We never play well at 12.30 kick offs. Also after such a huge game midweek it was all about the result.

Think we can allow the lads an off day. Watford were well up for it and made it in to a scrappy affair but we won and that’s all that matters.

i was asking that question as well. anyone with knowledge wanna answer?

or the refs pick and choose which law to enforce according to their fancy as always.

credit to the FA for picking the most exceptional bunch of oxygen wasters to officiate a game.

Unless there's been a rule change I'm not aware of you need to two defending players goal side of the attacker to be onside. Usually goalkeeper + 1 defender. But Foster was ahead of both defenders and Salah for that one.

Well done today, Mo and Alisson.

The only time Gomez looked suspect was under the high ball and that is something he needs to work on. For the rest of the game is recovery pace was a brilliant asset to us, say nothing of about three balls where he turned defence into attack within seconds. The lad is in his early 20's he will make the odd error comes with the territory, you can't instantly become Virgil. That besides, he had a great game, the good thing is he can do even better and I'm sure he will.

Today was a real reminder of how important it is to have an incredible keeper.
Migs or Karius in goals today, we do not win.

3 points, our lads can forget about the league for a bit. Any dropped points by Leicester or City in their next couple of games will just be an early Xmas present.

Thought he was good but imo it's not a toss up, Salah was our biggest threat today and had two world class finishes.

Wasn't there but it looked like the wind was a massive factor, we weren't as bad as we looked.

Salah never went away but his mojo is back at 100%. I can see us hitting 4th and 5th gear soon, saving 6th as we take the piss at about the start of April.

3 points is all that matters. Thought Watford played well but our class is a moment just round the corner when needed. I would say a 6 out of 10 performance from our buys today. Did just enough. No point in expanding our energy too much when not needed

That was so nervy at times. Klopp’s reaction was the same as mine when it looked like VVD had put one in his own net.

To be expected though. Great performance in the derby, then at Bournemouth and then a tricky European away tie dealt with. A slump in performance isn’t exactly out of the ordinary after all that, particularly given that Watford seemed extra motivated by the new manager.

Two great finishes by Salah but Alisson is the man of the match. A good keeper instils confidence throughout the side and on a blustery day against a physical team he was the clear standout.
