Really don't know what to make of this.

I though Lavia was a pretty sensible, albeit crude signing. I'm not sure I see enough in Caicedo to warrant spending double the money at the risk of strengthening our defence.

I think I'd be happier with Lavia and a good centre back than just Caicedo.

But, whatever we do I'll be happy...as long as we get another player or two in. Clearly I know sweet FA compared to Klopp, Pep etc.
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Caicedos just unfollowed Kerry Dixon an Robert Fleck on TIKTOK lads.

He's just bought the last 3 Ex-Easter Island Head releases on bandcamp and paid more than the asking, then he's written "blur are shite and Suggs can suck my balls" in the comments.

Apparently according to twitter we put a bid in for Caciedo and it has been accepted , Brighton told Chelsea and they put a £100m bid in  :/

according to this guy

Jimmy McCann
@JimmyMcCann73
BID ACCEPTED: Tonight Liverpool have had a bid accepted for Moises Caicedo. Brighton have communicated this to Chelsea who will now need to either match the bid or go for Lavia. Player potentially will have a decision to make, seems a no brainer to me that he should choose LFC

Lots of positive headline but if Chelsea are bidding £90m + £10m that probably gets it done?

Some people think it was related to the Mbappe situation and maybe bidding for Tchouameni

If it's true and Tchouameni is available we should be all over him not Caicedo.

This doesn't make any sense.

We spent weeks bidding for Lavia. He is the player we clearly want then suddenly we move to Cacideo a player who agreed personal terms with Chelsea and is way more expensive than Lavia.

Well, something obviously happened, as reported by Joyce ...

Quote
Liverpool’s plan was to spend their budget on a number of players and instigate a midfield overhaul that has been long overdue.

Deals for Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have been sealed for a combined outlay of £95 million and they have so far been willing to lavish a further £45 million on Lavia.

That chunk remains unspent and Liverpool have, of course, recouped £52 million through the unexpected sales of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Al-Ittihad and Al-Ettifaq respectively.

While the funds would appear in place for what would be a club-record deal for Caicedo, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool are actually presented with the chance to land him.

Depends….we could bid 85 + 15, but the 85 is structured better than Chelsea’s 90.

The only thing is Boehly’s ego….he will do whatever it takes to get this done.

The press keep saying that he wants Chelsea but that was when the choice was staying at Brighton or moving to 12th place Chelsea.

Any chance this sudden bid is linked to Fluminese winning last night and that Brazilian lad being out of reach for a few months?

Whatever Reddy and Romano say, I’m just not having that we’re causally bidding 100m on the off chance the player might want to come - something has changed in the last 24 hours and I’m trying to work out what it is.

Perhaps. Far as I understand it, Brighton are not happy with the payment structure, so that tells me that even if we bid lower, we can still end this by offering a vastly superior payment structure.

Brighton wants the player's future sorted- they want the money.

"Show me da money!"
"Some listen to understand. Others listen to respond."
"A fool does not delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own mind."
In such a sumptuous festival of shite, I wouldn't be so quick to pick a winner..

But he'd make the shortlist
