The things that impressed me the most last night was, firstly Southampton are now mugs, they are a decent team with a decent manager, they put out the strongest possible team available and yet we - with a team full of changes, inflicted the heaviest home defeat since the 1950s.
Secondly each player, whether they were squad players in the XI or youngsters like Smith coming on, knew exactly the type of game to play, very little adaption, no uncertainty (except maybe for the first 10/15 minutes) - and bags and bags of confidence.
In some respects, last night made me more excited than the results against Chelsea and Man City (haha just a little bit).
Got to say finally, those gobshite Southampton fans who gave Lallana a dogs abuse all night need to have a word with themselves, you can understand Lovren to a degree getting stick, but Lallana stuck with them for as long as possible and captained the ungrateful bastards!
