Agreed not everyone fills in the form seriously. But I expect for other games more people would have been staying in the city the day before and said so. And we all know how they’ve been patting themselves on the back every time there has been a smooth collection. If it had gone ahead, I’d imagine a large proportion of people turning up early afternoon and there being big queues - opening up further criticism.
Thats a valid point.

Thats how one of our lot lost a credit asked for name change as last minute emergency and he didn't want ticket going to waste, they then informed him credit went to attendee. It was a collection in Porto.

they're really not consistent, i've done similar (someone had an emergency, i was able to collect after some discussion), but was told they'd never give the credit to anyone else

Lovely trip, Linz is a nice place and the walk to the ground was pretty picturesque!
Journo: ''So, let me get this right, train, coach, train, plane.''
Rafa: ''No, coach first because we will not be walking to the train station.''

So agree, lovely relaxing day in Linz, police just watching on.  Able to mingle and fan zone before match, drinks at seats and no holdback - if only every away trip was like this  8)

Obviously the weather helped!!

Belter of a trip  8)

As others have said, it makes such a huge difference when you’re treated like actual people. Well in to all involved.

It wasn't that bad! We did it twice as walked up in the morning to go to the club shop...turned out to be a portocabin and it was closed! ended up at the 1 in town though so all good.

Did it from down the river by the bridge, absolutely horrific, everyone was stopping on the benches half way up one of the roads. Was some path near the river through a small park (not the one near the ground) with more steps than newcastle away

28 degrees, not a single place to be seen on the way up where we could buy a drink or anything and they only sold ale outside the ground  :lmao

Class trip tho aside from my lack of fitness haha, spent 4 hours in the Széchenyi Thermal Baths in Budapest on the Friday to recover  8)

Ahh fair enough! Our hotel was dead central so was only about a mile from the ground and also about the same distance from the train station so probably a much shorter walk then you had to do.

Haha! a nice way for you to end it too  ;D

Its happened to a mate that I, and a few on here, know personally (not the one on Twitter), I purchased him a ticket in the guaranteed 1st sale and then got 1 on his card in the 2nd sale for another mate, we were all in the ground and thankfully have got more than 1 photo taken in the stands to prove this to back it up. Both tickets scanned in correctly as well...it will get sorted but have now got the ball ache of getting it done, FFS.

People need to check their junk mail as he didn't see the email until he saw the one from Twitter, I dread to think how many people this has happened to, thank fuck we took photos in the ground although we always do tbf, especially at euro aways. We'll be taking loads more from now on too.

Spoke the language and couldn't walk round the ground to find the away end?

They'll be hard pressed to think the ticket office (or anyone at all) would believe that

Does anyone know what the advertised response time is to an email? I sent a detailed email to the club along with a few attachments a week ago but haven't even had an acknowledgement let alone a reply.

Nothing whatsoever, it shows exactly as all of the previous euro aways do.
