Fundraising evening for C-R-Y and The Ray of Hope Appeal

Come and join former Liverpool FC great and European Cup winner Alan Kennedy at the Sportsman’s evening to be held at The Cresta Court Hotel, Altrincham Cheshire on Saturday 28th February 2009.

7pm until 1am

Tickets cost £35

The evening raises cash for Cardiac Risk in the Young, a charity set up to help research in sudden death syndrome in children and adults.

CRY is a fantastic charity and one that should get a lot more publicity than it does. One of the lads off of This Is Anfield that I play footy with, only 16, and had a heart attack playing for his amateur team over Widnes way. He's lucky to be here still, but if the correct tests and that could have been implimented (electro cardiograms etc etc) they would have known about his heart defect and could have acted accordingly in the first place.
