Definitely overated I would say. I remember watching all of these cookery shows as a kid and everyone would always get really excited over prawns, so I imagined these must be the best tasting things ever. I must have been in my early 20’s the first time I actually tried them and it was hugely underwhelming, they ain’t bad tasting, just no where near as good as the hype suggested.

Seafood is great, though as said it is much better fresh. I'm lucky enough that I live 10 minutes walk from the fish market in Aberdeen and can get really fresh fish whenever I want. I just don't understand the appeal of oysters, it's just like drinking a load of thick sea water.

For the vast majority they are not required, they are too big for our roads,  they don't fit in parking spaces, they cause visibility issues at junctions and put cyclists and pedestrians at greater risk due to blocking sightlines, nightmare when crossing a road with kids and should just have been left in the USA the place that spawned the monstrosities

I think there is some sort of tax benefit if having them as a company car. Im not sure of the details, its mayeb something to do with petrol, one bloke has one at our firm and a few others have normal cars and he is better off from some insane reason.

Yep, tax benefits. If its a double cab pickup and can carry at least a tonne, then its classed as a Van, so if you use it for private mileage as well as work, you pay a lot less benefit in kind tax than you would by driving a normal car.

If someone has driven a Ford for 20 years, never had an accident or any bother on the roads, then their first day of owning a BMW do they suddenly become a shit driver overnight?

As I'm sure hundreds of other posters on here do. No doubt there are some wankers that drive a BMW, but there are probably an equal number of wankers that drive a Skoda, a Hyundai or a Renault.
If everyone named every single incident they'd encountered of another driver being a dickhead, I've no doubt a BMW wouldn't be top of the list for the make of car.
