On a side note, I hate the rule that allowed our 3rd to stand. Salah was obviously offside and the defender had to play the ball because of Mo. It’s a dumb rule and I will be annoyed if we concede a similar goal. It made no difference to the result but the rule needs to be binned.

Difference is, when those go against us, the pundits go to great lengths to explain why the goal should be allowed, and not how stupid the rule is.
That time when Lovren went to play it and by doing so, played Kane I think onside.

I agree it’s a shit rule, I just wish pundits would be a bit more consistent. I keep saying, no favourable treatment, just treat us the same as everyone else.

Football is about moments for me, and that Salah goal was a fucking moment, granted the game was already won by that point but it doesn’t matter, the sheer bliss of watching the best forward in the world score one of the best goals I’ve ever seen is what it’s all about.

We were boss, I actually missed the first 10 minutes as being a soft twat I thought kick off was 12-45 and Watford were shit, but not as shit as is being made out, I think Jurgen was right in saying that they had a plan but we just wouldn’t let them execute it, Sarr looked good I thought, in the very limited opportunities he had to showcase his abilities.

Great showing from Liverpool, but let's face it, Watford never showed up. Beaten before the kickoff. I was amazed at their lack of effort. Ranieri will need to change that attitude or he'll be gone by Christmas. And putting Danny Rose on Salah? The lads has eaten too may pies lately, that was a complete mismatch.

Who doesn't love a relaxing 5-0 win to kick off the weekend? I didn't get to see the game but going by the stats and commentary we had a pretty easy time of it. I did catch the goals. Salah's was something else. Possibly even better than his goal against City. The assist for Sadio was world class as well. The Egyptian King never fails to deliver. Enjoyed Bobby's tap ins. Our Bobby loves a tap in. We needed that three points today as I felt we could have got all three against City and Brentford in the previous two fixtures. Sets us up nicely for Atletico midweek and Ronaldo FC next weekend. Up the Reds.

We had like 90% possession in the first 15 minutes, Watford were never in it. Perfect way to resume proceedings after an international break. Added bonus in Neco getting some first team minutes and capping it off with a neat assist. Now onto Madrid where a win would basically wrap up first place in the group.

thats the point, how can he know. He can’t take the chance. It is a shit rule, but we’ve been on the wrong side of it too, so nice to actually have one going our way.

What is annoying is the commenators then turning the agenda to ‘luck’ or ‘wrong’, when it was correct all round.

I didn't see any issue with the commentary (Fletcher and Jenas) on my one. They said exactly what you did - that the decision to allow the goal was legally correct, but that the rule was "wrong" because the defender doesn't have to play the ball if he knew Salah was offside.

The goal was correctly allowed, but I think it's a stupid rule. It feels very much like the linesman allowing play to go on even though the attacker is offside, resulting in serious injuries like VVD's. Would have been pissed had that goal been scored against us. It also goes against players being told to "play to the whistle" because in this case, playing to the whistle was exactly the wrong thing to do.
